"Dem strategists believe Obama faces 'tougher-than-anticipated' re-election...developing

That is actually the funniest statement I've read in quite some time. LOL

Short massive fraud (not putting it past them BTW) I don't think he has a chance against almost (yes almost) anyone the Republicans nominate. His only chance is a split Republican party. I think it will be close but only because of the fraud.

“So it’s “unexpected”?”

Yep, exactly. They’re shocked, shocked Socialism didn’t work. Again.

Do you believe everything (or anything) you read in the NYT?

Just remember how devious the Rats are.

By election time in Nov. 2012, gas will be at $2.00.

The government will report the unemployment rate at 6%.

The MSM will be lauding the ONE as having saved the country.

None of this will matter if the media continue to cover for Obama 24/7 and blame Bush and Republicans.

That is why we need to start a grassroots move to connect Obama with high food and energy prices. Bypass TV, internet, & radio.

Personally, I don’t think he has a chance in Hell of being elected in 2012.

But then, I didn’t think he had a chance in Hell of being elected in 2008 either.

If the economy doesn’t do a 180, if gas and food are still as high as they are now (or, heaven forbid higher!), if unemployment doesn’t come down A LOT, he’s done.

Nothing else will matter.

If the election were being held today he’d lose to whoever was the republican nominee.

The only thing we need to be really worried about is some third party candidate, either Trump or Bloomberg or some other Perot type or a “tea party” candidate.

We cannot split the “not obama” vote, at least not on the right. A greenie or a nader would be OK.

Anyone ever think here that one of the reasons we have the Arab nations sticking it to us with high gas prices could be to get Obama removed.
They know they lost Egypt and that Obama started a directionaless war against Libya.
I think they want a leader in the USA next to clean up the Obama messes.

A serious possibility don’t you think?

Are you dreaming? If we get a Repub President and majorities in both houses, the Repubs will make extra efforts to be nice and fair and the Dims will once again gain the upper hand. Republicans are remarkably easy to manipulate.

Anyone who would vote for obama at this point is most likely related to these people:

It will be time to roll out the old favorite;

“Are you better off or worse off than you were four years ago?”

There is no logical answer that is not “worse” or even “worst ever”, and it is no longer possible to blame it on Bush any more. The brain washing propaganda of the left should not be underestimated though. We have proven to have many “useful idiots”...

Pocket book issues are emerging - gas, food, housing, value of a dollar...etc

The economy isn't going to rebound within 18 months to make unemployment drop into the 7% range....

Obama's key signature legislation ObamaCare - still has been rejected by the majority of the country

The media can't prop him up enough to save him this time...

Very good analysis, especially the part about pocket book issues. The only thing I'd question is whether the media can save him. There is still a chance they can. Think the media acted as Obama propaganda outlets before? Wait till this election really starts cranking up. And if we nominate a really good conservative who will actually begin dialing back the social welfare state, well, the MSM will go into overdrive to re-elect Hussein.

There is still a loooooooong way to go. Once a few serious candidates begin making their mark in the GOP primaries we will really begin to start getting some useful theoretical match-up polls and have a better idea of where we stand.

Obama would lose to a ham sandwich if the economy doesn’t somehow miraculously improve.
What carefully for shenanigans.

This turns around in a week. Mat of what happened in 2008 was fear mongering by the MSM.

If they are reporting great things now, wait until they start bringing the gas prices down to the lowest levels since 2008, jobs will hit 7% and the enviropolicies created the lowest emissions levels since Reagan. Not to mention how everyone’s health care costs went down and we paid the lowest taxes since Clinton.

And the people will be all joyous. It is going to happen because that is the template they created.

We have a spending problem.
I think most reasonable people understand that point.

The Ryan budget will not affect the benefits of anyone now over age 55.

If we do nothing?

Those of us under 55 will not have ANY benefits as our nation will be bankrupt!

Is Obama going to be the modern version of Lyndon Johnson and not seek a 2nd term for the best of his party??? Might be convenient for him to step away.
