Looks like Kathleen Parker has finally decided to swim the River Styx to the other side. Although she probably would have said much the same thing in the National Review.

Bye, bye, Kathleen. Lot’s of luck over there!

What’s sad is both Obama and Trump and carnival Barkers.
Snake Oil Salesmen, Self-aggrandizing megalomaniac’s.

Bahh! Run them both off I say.

Sadly missing on the Republican side is the leveling voice of the grown-up who will say not only that he takes Obama’s word (and the clear evidence), but that the Republican Party won’t tolerate further discussion. Case closed.

That is disgusting - why the hell are we supposed to just shut up and take Obama's word for anything? He is a serial liar. I seriously do not believe that there will even BE a Republican Party in five years - bunch of "politics as usual" back-stabbing phoneys. They do not represent the people anymore.

I partially agree in that conservatives were unable to rid themselves of McCain before the 2008 primaries. The GOP screwed themselves in 2008. What if we enlarge that scale to talk about the sanity of the Nation? In a saner time Obummer would be serving coffee for President Hillary.
If we had a press corp rather than a press corpse; we would be in a saner time. Beware the words of the WAPO.

“This is a sad but accurate analysis of the state of contemporary conservatism.”

All of this is an even bigger indictment of contemporary ‘journalism’. If the MSM had done the job that it has traditionally been entrusted with, we wouldn't have people like Trump raising issues that have never been thoroughly addressed.

How many here actually believe anymore that the MSM are pro-American? How many here truly believe that all elected to the House or the Senate are pro-American? How many here actually believe that you can trust this administration and liberals in this country to do what is best for the future of your children? These are not conspiratorial issues. They are very, very real questions, and the future of our children and our nation rest upon the answers to them.

I honestly no longer feel that I live in a free country, and I no longer think of our press as generally much different from Soviet era Pravda.

I think Parker is far to dismissive of the issue and misses the point completely.

While I myself am not a Birther, It is because I think it’s small potatoes compared to the crimes that Obama is committing before our very eyes.

Parker piece comes off as painting Birthers as crazy and she just accepts Obamas BS COLB for fact while ignoring that people have justifiable concerns that since his father was Kenyan he may well not be a NBC under the letter of the law.

I personally would rather not wrestle with legal minutia.
Obama is undermining the US Constitution and I believe we should document his crime, then feed them to him in court. Or the Ballot box.

"Alas, there is no reasoning with the unreasonable, too many of whom these days seem to self-identify as Republicans or conservatives. "

Just release the true long form and unseal ALL records that have been restricted to the public.

If the "I WON" has nothing to hide, why is he hiding?

And the “walking on water” sad and immature discourse of liberals leaves them to ignore a man in power who should be sitting in a high security prison or mental hospital right now...

Speck vs. log in eye discourse...

the electoral college was meant to preclude political parties—didn’t work did it!

The “people” never wanted to give up their “king,” looks like they remade their king into their “party” with plenty of skunks standing by ready to do their thing; later dividing themselves up into sub-parties, etc.

Simplify was never to satisfy the masses, and for good reason.

How ironic......

snip-”Perhaps it’s a good thing that the U.S. Senate didn’t take up a resolution on Barack Obama’s status as a “natural born Citizen” in 2008 – as members did for GOP candidate Sen. John McCain while both were seeking the U.S. presidency.

The Democrat might not have qualified under the requirements the Senate, including Obama, a co-sponsor and then-senator, put in the resolution, including the demand that the candidate have “American citizen” parents.”

From the article:

Sadly missing on the Republican side is the leveling voice of the grown-up who will say not only that he takes Obama’s word (and the clear evidence), but that the Republican Party won’t tolerate further discussion. Case closed.

This is simply not true. Most prominent conservatives, even ones regarded as far right by the MSM, dismissed the birther nonsense a long time ago. This conspiracy lives on amongst the fringe and some well meaning but extremely gullible people.

Virtually all major conservatives have been clear that they want nothing to do with crazy birther talk. From Mark Levin, to Michelle Malkin to Anne Coulter - all have said it was conspiracy theory drivel and they didn't want to waste time on.

Yes, birthers are the right's version of the left's truthers, and yes, you will never bury a good conspiracy once it gets going - but almost all conservative leaders and commentators dismissed birther conspiracies a long, long time ago.

Article said:

We lost our minds in this nation when we downplay fraud, sedition, and foreign invasion as subjects we can "live with" in the name of "bigger problems". All of these subjects are playing out in the White House. All three of these subjects touch on usurpation.

It's difficult to ignore fraud and say "we have bigger fish to fry" when the bigger fish are in the lake solely because of this very behavior. As the old adage goes, an ounce of prevention...

This stupid Kathleen imagines that a guy who can't tell the difference between "long and short", "big and little", "fat and thin" was drive to show his birth certificate (abstract) "in exasperation".

Frankly I don't think he understood the dispute ~ and still doesn't. He was told there'd be plenty of "yes men" around who'd clear everything about anything difficult to think about.

They didn't.

The Democrats are the original “birthers”. A Democrat sued John McCain in early 2008 saying he was not qualified for the presidency due to being born in the Canal Zone.

Wow! The ruling class and those clamoring to gain favor with them are in a fit.. the plague of “birtherism,” the rabid belief. . . lost our minds . . . crazed factions . . . obsessed with conspiracies, unconvinced by facts . . . they’re crazy . . . intolerable distraction . . . facts [are] irrelevant . . . no reasoning with the unreasonable . . . plague . . . beyond depressing . . .national descent into silliness . . . [missing is] the leveling voice of the grown-up who will say not only that he takes Obama’s word (and the clear evidence), [but] tolerate [no] further discussion. Case closed . . . Instead, too many seem satisfied to let the fringe inform the base. We dwell in a time when buffoons are elevated and presidents are compelled to respond to the jester. These circumstances cannot bode well for the republic.

All we are saying♩♪♫
is give release a chance♩♪♫

It's that simple and it's our fault? We put Obama into the position of not wanting to dignify what was so clearly an accusation of “otherness” that had dogged him since he began running for president. [it's] a simple matter of pride . . . he just wanted to protect his mother? No decent man wants to subject his mother to the kind of scrutiny?

Mister government man, uh I want that license but I'm not going to give you my long form birth certificate because you make me feel like I'm different somehow.. and.. I don't want to further embarrass my mother.. Wot? Get out of the office? I'm not going get that license I need.. but .. but . . . .

I gotta do it, you gotta do it, all God's children gotta do it -- but not Obama?

In a saner time, Obama would not have been on the 2008 ballot without evidencing his qualifications.
