BREAKING: White House releases Obama's birth certificate

The White House released President Obama's original birth certificate Wednesday.

The surprise release follows recent and sustained remarks by businessman Donald Trump, among others, that raised doubts as to whether the president was born in the United States.

Somebody named "Alvin" is promising that is is a "true copy".

It has signatures but the paper, allegedly signed in 1961, is the same, funny computer print-out paper that the State of Hawaii uses in the 21st Century. Hmmm.... and all the letters seem to have a white halo around them.

I'm not Buckhead and I don't play him on the Internet but this seems to be some sort of Photoshop joke.

I am not a "Birther". I am an "Asker" and I have two simple questions:

1.) Why won't President Obama simply end this circus by releasing the long-form document?

2.) "What is President Obama hiding and why is he hiding it?"

Stupid question, but what’s with the framing of this document? Why does it have a matching border that wide? Surely that his not original. And what is going on with the left margin, here? The adjacent document is hidden behind the frame of this document, when they are all on the same piece of paper? How does that work?

Just heard an interesting tidbit from Byron York. He said that in 1961, at least one parent, over the age of 14, would have to have been living in the USA for 5 consecutive years. But he added, this is a “small legal technicality”.

One must consider that our government has people who every single day create documents that allow agents to be someone whom they are not and that these docs are good enough that highly trained counter intelligence people in foreign governments are not able to detect them as false.

So what are the chances that this birth certificate is not the real thing?

I have no idea, but it is a valid question considering what is at stake.
