I’m not trying to suggest that this helps Obama. Nor am I suggesting Trump created this mess.
My position has always been that Obama should release the long form birth certificate and end the controversy, and that the only reason he refused to do it is that he’s an arrogant SOB who believes himself to be above everyone else. The way he spoke on the matter just a few minutes ago reinforces my assessment.
I’m just not a Trump fan and really don’t like that this is going to make Trump feel that he has a mandate to continue making every issue about himself. The best way to explain it, I suppose, is to compare his behavior to Obama’s.
Obama makes everything about himself and we gripe about it. Trump makes the issue about himself and we applaud it.

Eric Cantor is saying on Fox News that this is a total waste of time and that those who were for the birth certificate release should be ashamed of themselves. He said the White House should have just kept ignoring this as we have more important issues to worry about.
It’s obvious to me a really bad fake has been released. The question is why. To prolong the issue so we won’t concentrate on other things he is doing, or do they seriously believe this will satisfy stupid people. Regardless, he’s running scared.
