I’m not trying to suggest that this helps Obama. Nor am I suggesting Trump created this mess.
My position has always been that Obama should release the long form birth certificate and end the controversy, and that the only reason he refused to do it is that he’s an arrogant SOB who believes himself to be above everyone else. The way he spoke on the matter just a few minutes ago reinforces my assessment.
I’m just not a Trump fan and really don’t like that this is going to make Trump feel that he has a mandate to continue making every issue about himself. The best way to explain it, I suppose, is to compare his behavior to Obama’s.
Obama makes everything about himself and we gripe about it. Trump makes the issue about himself and we applaud it.

That’s all I was getting at. Nothing more. But it’s over, resolved, done, dead, sleeping, finito. Hopefully we can focus on the actual issues that can kick Obama to the curb.
I wouldn’t prefer Trump either — too recent a convert. Senate? Sure. Not prez.
Trump is a handy cats’ paw. Look at how he flushed out Obama on the BC. We needed this squarely confronted prior to the primary — one way or the other.
