(CNN) The White House released President Obama’s original birth certificate Wednesday.
The surprise release follows recent and sustained remarks by businessman Donald Trump, among others, that raised doubts as to whether the president was born in the United States.

Well, in 1844 you would have been eligible, but in 2008 a new legal principle was discovered - ignore the law and worship Vattel.

In this case, No One can doubt the facts. IF this newest document proves legitimate, it is a railroad spike in Obama’s political coffin. The commercials would be devastating. They’re just too easy to write and understand. Obama golfed while honorable careers and entire families were laid waste. All he had to do was release a scrap of paper, but he couldn’t be bothered. He comes off looking like an inhuman monster. Sure, a few Obots will continue to ‘believe’. But the average, normal American will want to throw up.

Um, because it is. The Nordyke form is from 1966, probably an old ditto/Xerox machine. Technology has improved quite a bit over the years, so of course Barry's looks new and fresh in comparison. In 1966, both the Director of Health and the Registrar General signed copies that were sent out. In 2011, apparently just the State Registrar signs it. Sometimes it just is what it is and there is no grand conspiracy.
Wait a minute... On the Nordyke form, it was signed by the 'Registrar General'. Barry's is signed by the 'State Registrar'. STOP THE PRESSES, its an obvious fake!! /sarc
Tim Adams was a joker who infiltrated a racist group and made up this story to see what people's reactions would be. He styles himself as a sort of "gonzo" journalist. I figured this out after viewing his Youtube videos, but people will just latch on to what they want to believe is true.
There is a tremendous amount of valid criticism of this president. This is bogus and makes us look foolish. And look...exactly what we knew would happen if he released it. It is a forgery call! There you go. With all we have to criticize him on.....this is what we are talking about.

Why is the type bold on the “of txe” part of the certification, and not on the rest of the letters?
(Skeptics would argue it’s to avoid legal liability for the certification if the full certification is not proper...)
Just in case everyone’s busy and you didn’t get an answer - no, you are not a NBC. Born on soil, to parents who are citizens at the time of the child’s birth. They can be naturalized but have to be citizens.

There is no typo. I actually says THE but there appears to have been some grit or dust on the stamp lying across part of the H that makes it appears as an X.
