Texas Congressman Ron Paul appeared on the Sean Hannity Show on Monday, and the Libertarian leaning Republican confirmed possibilities for a 2012 presidential run.
We are going to announce Im going to form an exploratory committee, Paul said. That announcement will presumably happen, according to Politico, on Tuesday afternoon in Iowa at the Holiday Inn near the Des Moines airport.
Paul is making the talk show rounds, appearing on programs like 'Fox and Friends' and dropping by the chatty den 'The View'. Along the way, Paul is also promoting and signing his latest book, Liberty Defined.
On 'Fox and Friends' Tuesday morning Paul pointed out two of the biggest problems in the U.S.militarism and welfarism. He rightfully said the Federal Reserve does not have constitutional authority to print money and as far as a theme goes, not much has changed for Paul over the years.
Freedom is the issue, he said. Asked about the issue of militarism, Paul posed a question: What if China did to us what we do in other countries?
Pauls dialog with Hannity was the most substantive, with the congressman responding to questions about entitlements, the war in Libya and troops in Saudi Arabia. Paul wants to address spending overseas and that approach will resonate with fiscal conservatives. He gave a nod to former CIA analyst-turned author Michael Scheuer as the most knowledgable person about Osama bin Laden. Scheuer, like Paul, has a non-interventionist platform on matters such as Libya.
Asked about the desire by some to introduce aspects of Sharia law into the judicial system, Paul said, We have to defend our principles. He does however acknowledge the right of the developer at the Ground Zero Mosque to put the building there. Paul said the mosque is a private property issue and we shouldnt believe...

KOOK ALERT!
ANOTHER BIG TIME LOSER.
Get aboard the Crazy Train.
Funny headline
I rather enjoy his debate comedy. It’s gold.
The Kook. Is the only one that will go after the “Command and Control” agencies of the Federal Monster. The GOP is back at its old tricks of trying to save the Monster. In modern war you go at the Enemy command and control first. GOP will not. I will vote for the Kook over the Cowards. He will lose but at least I will have tried.
Man for what times? Isn’t he like a hundred and twenty?
The Stormfront & Jihad candidate. Just what the world needed.
Wonder how much Obongo pays *him* to be spoiler?
Man for the end of times.
Notice the GOP RINOS are talking about the things the Kook was talking about 5 years ago. Does that mean they are Kooks too? Or maybe. Just a little behind Ron Paul. Maybe after Obamas next term after the GOP does its Flop. The next RINO will talk about what the Kook talks about now.
Jihad Ron is your guy!
Yeah. Exploring for his mind.
Well the first 8 posts could be written by liberals as they only used Saul Alinsky tactics. Just attack without any substantive details in fact.
Has the FR become just a right leaning DU?
RP will not get my vote, unless the GOP does not offer up anyone who has not been corrupted by Progressives.
We do not need a slightly less Progressive like McCain but someone who will promise to lead the country back to what the Founders intended.
Just mindless attacks on RP will not help.
You: The Kook. Is the only one that will go after the Command and Control agencies of the Federal Monster...In modern war you go at the Enemy command and control first."
I love it. This "KOOK" is anti-militarism, an isolationist, yet you use militant remarks in defending him. Sheesh!
You want to vote for a kook, go for it. You and the rest of the loonies out there.
Awesome, so Ron Paul and GOP RINOs have something in common.
For us Conservatives, both groups (RINOs and Ron Paul & his drones) can go to Hell!
“Ron Paul, man for the times,...”
What times? the final destruction of Israel and the Jews? You know, us guys who “run” everything?
