A teenager was stabbed and seriously wounded in a fight Monday at the National Zoo as the zoo marked African American Family Day. A 16-year-old was arrested and charged in the incident, D.C. police said.
D.C. police Cmdr. Michael E. Reese said the stabbing was connected to “some kind of ruckus” that apparently broke out within the zoo and might have resumed at or near the entrance on Connecticut Avenue NW.
.....The teenager was stabbed at least twice, at least once in the zoo and once at or just outside the entrance, Reese said. Some of the same assailants might have been involved in both attacks, he said.
.....In addition to the many children attending the zoo’s annual day-after-Easter celebration, tourists and youngsters on spring break filled the zoo to capacity, Legge said.
The free gathering dates to the 1890s. Oral history says that black domestic workers were required to work on Easter, so Monday was the day of family celebration.
In 2000, the Easter Monday celebration was marred when a teenager, in a dispute with teens from another neighborhood, shot and wounded seven people at the zoo’s main entrance. A year later, the shooter was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

That is not the case in Memphis.
Memphis was doomed when the blacks took over all elements
of the government.
Likewise the software infrastructure in a company or agency is doomed when Indian-born Hindus (that is, excepting Jains and other minority sects) take over ALL elements of management.
The doom dynamic is the same. Tolerance of failure, poor work and corruption withing the peer group.

Actually, a lot of the comments (knee-jerk) are just what the elites work so hard for. They’ve worked to keep us all at each others’ throats because that gives them a wide variety of grievance groups to command and control - the overlords of socialism that prey on vulnerable people. And the way to make people vulnerable is though corruption —theft of productivity by poverty pimps and welfare programs (which has spread deeply into among others, the white and hispanic communities).
Once you absolve a group from any responsibility for their condition or behavior, when you’ve told them they are victims and handicapped by circumstances beyond their control, you’ve doomed them to failure. And when that starts it spreads from one generation to another until it’s epidemic.
So when large numbers of black youth have no stable family unit and have been told that they are victims, where their schools are accommodated because they are black students, where their preachers and president tell them they are oppressed by whites, what the hell do you expect them to do?
They are easy pickings for gang membership where they can belong and where they have a place to express themselves — LOOK AT ME! I AM SOMEBODY!
Unfortunately too many black teachers and their unions nurture the victim status of blacks as they too play out their grievance mentality.
The Obamas have an unprecedented opportunity to tackle this awful waste of American potential and help to close down the race-baiting industry in the U.S. and effect his oft vaunted “change” around the world, but they won’t.
They won’t because they have the black community right where they want them, dependent, angry and scared.

I’ve never been stabbed in the zoo, but I would think it hurts. ;~ p
And has metastasized into the union thug culture. The American black population is about 12%, yet about 50% of all Americans don't pay federal income tax. The shift in the U.S. toward a handout mentality is an equal opportunity disease (spread by socialists).
I think they have tacitly addressed this violence
by encouraging it.

I remember Rush saying there would be hell to pay when American blacks realized what the Democratic Party has done to them.
The time is now.
Tea Parties around the country would welcome more black members.
Such a lovely culture they have.
I don’t know HOW they will realize it, ever.
Along with the destruction of their families and the promoting of a self destructive culture, they have been mal-educated to the point that telling them the truth just makes them angry.
If you have seen Idiocracy, you’ll get the idea.
(It is crude, but it is very clever, and really shows a general society that reflects what would happen if certain subcultures’ values permeated society.)
It has to begin with enough blacks willing to step forward (at no small expense to themselves) to lead others away by example. More black participants at tea parties will be a HUGE start.
I have read that that is the exact reason they are closing that park: feral heathen savages running amok. The legal liability for the park is just too high to continue operating with these animals on the loose.
It is the very same reason Six Flags in Houston closed down, too, but no one will come right out and say it.
Then they get upset when we move far out of the city (taking our money and our businesses with us) abandoning it to the decay that they seem to prefer because we know that we and our property are not safe there.
If they insist on acting like animals then we have to treat them like animals.
The truly sad thing about this is that the blacks who worked hard to succeed, who contribute to the community and are great role models for their kids and ours are spat upon by these inner city thugs and have their reputations destroyed simply because they share a common characteristic with the thugs. (Would you really trust a young black doctor? With Affirmative Action how do you know he really earned his degree?)
Unfortunately there is no solution. When the blacks themselves speak against the issue they are called Uncle Toms or worse (Bill Cosby for example). When the whites speak against it they are called racist.
I think the only thing to do is end all public assistance and let the animals work for their food for a change. Welfare only destroys the family and enables anti-social behavior.
