White House press secretary Jay Carney was asked today why President Obama did not give a statement on Easter. He laughed it off. Barack Obama released statements for the Muslims holidays of Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, the Hajj, and Eid-ul-Adha last year. Just last month he released a statement for the Persian Nowruz holiday.

Carney also scoffed at media reports calling out the White House for not releasing a statement commemorating Easter on Sunday, explaining Obama and his family attended church services in Washington.
“The president went to church yesterday, it was well-covered. I’m not sure if we put out a statement or not. He obviously personally celebrated Easter with his family,” he said.

We get to infer that *he’s* Christian, while the world gets to realize that the United States of America didn’t honor Christians worldwide with any kind of recognition of their Holiest day whatsoever.

That was what struck me, too. I thought Gibbs was bad, but this guy is even more open in his contempt.
His own statements say he is Christian... His actions say he is Muslim. Muslims say it is okay to lie when necessary. You decide!
The entire administration’s strategy seems to revolve around contempt for those who even ask a question. The ‘party approved’ line was not followed, free thought partially snuck in, how contemptible...
