A Sheboygan gas station owner is baffled after a mystery caller tells a clerk it's a bad idea to do business with a Sheboygan-area state senator.
It started Tuesday when a woman called Dick Hiers's Northeast Standard gas station after she thought she saw Senator Joe Leibham there. Her call was caught on the answering machine.
"I think that this whole thing has to end. It has to stop," said Hiers.
Hiers never thought his little gas station in the heart of Sheboygan would be the stage of political controversy. Then again, his week has been full of surprises.
"I was working back here and the answering machine went off, and I was a little surprised by that, and when I heard the message here, I was even a little more surprised."
The answering machine here in the back of the store was left on from the night before and was recording the entire conversation.
Caller: "Can you verify that was Senator Leibham at the gas station this morning?"
Gas station clerk: "Senator Leibham?"
Caller: "Yes. Do you guys support him?"
Clerk: "I have nothing to say about that, I am not politically involved."
Caller: "Alright, well you can tell Dick he's not good for business, I'll tell you that."
Shocked over the 26-second conversation, Hiers quickly traced the call -- only to get surprise number two.
"And it turned out to be coming from the Sheboygan area district school office," he said.
"Obviously our school district equipment and the facilities are for the purposes of school," Superintendent Joseph Sheehan responded. "Any type of phone call leaving any types of threats or condoning any type of intimidation is strictly prohibited."
The superintendent, who was out of the area Friday, said the district's taken what it calls "appropriate disciplinary action."
The woman is a district employee but school officials say that 8:15 call was made before she was on the clock.
As for Dick Hiers, he is still wants answers, saying this week full of surprises is a sign things have gone too far.
It turns out it wasn't the senator but his brother at the gas station.
Senator Leibham, who was not available for comment, has filed an open records request with the school district. The district says it's working on the request.
“>>>There will be civil war.
Already is. Its just not a hot war. Yet.”
And yet the majority of parents...even conservatives...will place their own children into the care of these people under the “idea” that they are being educated.
If all of us that call ourselves Christian or conservative would remove our children from the public schools we could collapse the whole system...but we don’t. This is what confuses me...why not collapse the system?
The educational system in this country, at all levels, is a union stronghold, a leftist’s haven, and a grand factory for creating more leftists. If we ever want to get a handle on this country’s destruction, it has to start with the schools.
And the union will defend her with what amounts to Wisconsin tax dollars. Hell of a note, if you ask me.
>>>This is what confuses me...why not collapse the system?
Re-take the system via school boards, and state legislatures everywhere and do what Wisconsin did.
And the school board thing is a serious place to start - school boards approve contracts. And curriculums. The left has been incrementally taking over the state established school systems for 40+ years. And yeah, taking kids out of public schools is a good way to make a point... or get a state legislature to allow open enrollment, and give parents school choice in public schools.
Risky...but it may be the only solution. The question is who is in charge if "we" win?
Nice little gas station ya got here...
it’d be a shame if anytin’ was to happen to it...
Caller: “Can you verify that was Senator Leibham at the gas station this morning?”
Gas station clerk: “Senator Leibham?”
Caller: “Alright, well you can tell Dick he’s not good for business, I’ll tell you that.”
Shocked over the 26-second conversation, [gas station owner] Hiers quickly traced the call — only to get surprise number two.
“And it turned out to be coming from the Sheboygan area district school office,” he said.
The SECOND move would be to capture Washington D.C. (and all the parasitic jackasses within there, too).
Then, it's a battle between those who work for what they have, and those that depend on the Gubmint to TAKE IT AND HAND IT OUT TO THEM FOR THEIR VOTES.
A complete do-over, going back to STRICTLY what the U.S. Constitution says, is what we need.
Roll out the red carpet for them, I say. We'll never get a chance to deal with them decisively if they don't come *here*.
“Caller: “Alright, well you can tell Dick he’s not good for business, I’ll tell you that.” “
Aren’t phone threats a criminal offense in WI?
“The left has been incrementally taking over the state established school systems for 40+ years”
While it is 40+ years, a more accurate statement would be 100+ years. There are several places that a person could learn about the formation of our current public education system. I would suggest the book, “Clergy in the Classroom” by David A. Noebel. It presents several quotes from the founders of public education going back to 1897 spelling out what the plan was and is...everything is going as planned.
“And yeah, taking kids out of public schools is a good way to make a point...”
The idea is not to make a point, but to do what is best for the child. How many more generations are we willing to offer to the other side while we “try” to improve the system by school boards, open enrollment, school choice, etc.?
My answer is...”NONE of my children”
bump
It’s all so crazy.
“These degenerates are beyond being call Americans.”
We should round ‘em up and send them to Cuberia where they can live out their lives in utopian equality.
It truly is.
“There will be civil war.”
...and they will lose. We got the guns and we got the numbers.
Bad news for Dems as this is all over Green Bay news. At least one union tool state senator is set to go to recall election - Dave Hansen.
The difference is, we’re fighting back. That’s the real story.
I have 8 grandkids. The oldest will be 5 in June. Not one of my kids are sending them to government schools. They are looking at all the options, and government schools isn’t on their list. My kids are in their mid to late 20’s. More and more parents are opting out of the ‘norm’. The schools are dying. Good. Privatize the whole lot of them.
My eldest lives in Sheboygan.
There is a homeschooling network in the state that isn’t affiliated with any group. They’re not on the internet. The families pool their resources, take turns schooling different subjects, and is totally against the ‘law’. It’s completely by ‘invite’ only. They’re doing it anyway.
I am.
(sorry we forgot to include you in the press release)
