Donald Trump wasn't laughing when funnyman Jerry Seinfeld canceled an upcoming appearance at a benefit for his son's Eric Trump Foundation.

Seinfeld pulled out of the Sept. 13 event benefiting the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital because he disagrees with The Donald's questioning of Barack Obama's citizenship, his reps said.

Seinfeld is clearly an example of ANOTHER ENTERTAINER who you would love to buy for their worth and sell for their self-perceived worth.

Yes, it was very appropriate. Regardless of what Seinfield thinks of Trump, he agreed to help a very legitimate charity and should honor his commitment. Seinfield should be ashamed.

I have never watched a complete Seinfeld program. I can’t stand the guy. All of his antics are followed with canned laughter, which I didn’t consider funny enough to even just smile.

The article states that Bret Michaels is replacing Seinfeld. I like The Sein’s comedy put his personal life always put me off.

Jerry should not have backed out. Trump’s political hijynx has nothing to do with helping kids with cancer.

They treat not only cancer, but every disease known/unknown to man.

Correct. From Wikipedia:

Early life

Thomas was born Amos Alphonsus Muzyad Yakhoob in Deerfield, Michigan, son of Charles Yakhoob and his wife Margaret Christen.[3] His parents were Maronite Catholic immigrants from Lebanon.[4] Thomas was raised in Toledo, Ohio, attending St. Francis de Sales Church (Roman Catholic), Woodward High School and finally The University of Toledo.[5] Thomas was confirmed in the Catholic Church in Toledo by Samuel Stritch who was bishop of Toledo at the time. Stritch, a native of Tennessee, would be Thomas's spiritual advisor throughout his life and subsequently urge him to locate the St. Judes Hospital in Memphis.[6][7] He married Rose Marie Cassaniti in 1936, a week after his 24th birthday. Thomas first performed under his Anglicized birth name, "Amos Jacobs", before choosing the stage name, "Danny Thomas", which were the names of two of his brothers.

Prayers for you on the loss of your little son. Even though it was 19 years ago, I know the pain never goes away.

Seinfeld is free to hold whatever political opinions he likes, but this is really a low-class move to stiff the kids at St. Jude. They have always been a non-political, worthwhile charity.

We all really need to understand something:

The liberals are so self-assured in their moral superiority that they really are not capable of committing any act damaging to another human being. Their liberalism simply overshadows everything else.

It’s their own form of “blessed assurance,” it seems. /s

Don’t care for Trump...but there is a lesson here for him and ALL...I had a “friend” on Facebook....as soon as I posted something critical of Obama, he de-friended me...

They cannot handle ANY information that runs against what they want to believe...as William F. Buckley once said (paraphrase):

“Liberals always claim to welcome debate and are then shocked that someone holds a view other than their own.”

Does that ability of yours to critique another’s writing skills keeping you at the front of the FR class?

If you are in the FR class . . . I am most decidedly at the front of the class. Far too smart to fall for the droppings of a self-involved blowhard and serial bankrupt like Trump.

Seinfeld is also Jewish so you have to wonder about him supporting the Muslim over St. Jude.

Jerry appears to be a JINO (Jew In Name Only).
