Breaking - four taken to hospital - six year old dropped gun which fired.
Were the calm parents invisible?
They probably don’t have anything worth suing for. Nope, the parents of the injured kids will sue the school system. They have much deeper pockets.
I trust my kids more than I do the neighbors.
“Did Lee Harvey Oswald reproduce?”
Good point.
Maybe the bullet hit a concrete wall and pieces of the wall/lead grazed the students?
Have you ever heard the phrase, "You can't get blood out of a turnip."?
The parents, I'm sure, are poor, probably living in government housing with no personal assets whatsoever.
I'm sure what will happen is an action will be filed against the school - they're the only ones with any money. And, I'm also sure that the school will settle. Welcome to tort laws in America.
We need gun safety classes in kindergarten to prevent this from happening again.
How is a 6 yr. old going to protect his stash of drugs if he doesn’t have an equalizer?
Probably a plant by Schumer so he can badmouth Houston some more plus throw in a few snide remarks about handguns on top of it...

How is a 6 yr. old going to protect his stash of drugs if he doesn’t have an equalizer? I am assuming the kid was 6. He could be 15 for all I know.
My dad had a terminology for that, he called it Lump Theropy. If he had ever caught me fooling around with any of the large number of guns he had about the house, I would be about two inches shorter today.
Of course I have heard the phrase. (Was that a bit of condescension? Prolly.) But those kind of people dislike having anything to do with the law. Suing them would be worth it just for the hassle factor. They would pee their pants just from being served. They need to be made uncomfortable, if they can’t be made accountable.
I'm betting Mama's boyfriend left it out where the kids could get at it. Little thug-life/MS-13 wanna-be brought it to school to be "cool".
Sorry, no condescension was intended. I have, on plenty of occasions, had to explain the "blood out of Turnip/rock" phrase.

Given the demographic makeup of the school, it's likely that the victims are impoverished also. It's unlikely that an attorney is going to take this case on contingency if the defendants parents are penniless. You would be surprised how frequently in these kinds of case, the perpetrators or most plainly culpable actors aren't named defendants in the action.
Think about the Dennis Quaid baby case. Quaid didn't sue the hospital or the nurse(s) that were directly responsible for the injury to his twins. He sued the pharmaceutical company, instead.
“Was it a white rich kid in private school?”
No, public school, but unlike those white kids at Columbine, U of Texas, Red Lake, Stockton and even the Amish School Shooting, the perpetrator in Houston killed no one.
A similar scenario here in MA would be if a 6 yo held up his gun finger, then dropped it. The school would go into lockdown, swat teams called in, and authorities would try and figure out what other kids were pointed at by the gun finger to assess potential casualties.
us too.. but I was more afraid of my dad than the gun.
“I’m betting Mama’s boyfriend left it out where the kids could get at it. Little thug-life/MS-13 wanna-be brought it to school to be “cool”.”
Why that’s an odd bet.
Did the Columbine shooters have a mama have a boyfriend in a gang?
How about that kid who killed those children in the Amish school, was he involved in some street gang?
With tears in his eyes he told me that he is throwing in the towel and moving his practice.
But to where is the question?
Unless relocating to an isolated rural area, there's no escaping the thug types and third-worlders (Messkins). Like cockroaches, they have swarmed to nearly every city, town, village and suburb in America.
What we NEED is school control...Backround checks for all prospective students and their families, mandatory school safety certifications to be renewed every year, random home inspections, etc.
