Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.), joined by several other House Democrats, re-introduced on Thursday the Uniting American Families Act, which would permit homosexual and lesbian American citizens to sponsor their partners for legal residency in the United States, saying the status-quo is humanly cruel.
The New York congressman, who is leading the push for passing the legislation, said there are more than 100 Democrat co-sponsors of the bill, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).
He also said that a similar bill is being introduced in the Senate by Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.).
The prospects of the bill passing are dim because it has no support from Republican members in the GOP-controlled House, although Rep. Nadler, without mentioning any names, alleged that some Republicans are considering supporting the legislation.
Today, thousands of committed same-sex couples are needlessly suffering because of unequal treatment under our immigration laws and this is an outrage, Nadler told reporters at a press conference on Capitol Hill on Thursday.
Nadler went on to say that it is a gratuitous cruelty that only homosexual Americans who fall in love with a foreign national must choose between their partner and their country. In turn, he added, heterosexual Americans are able to expeditiously sponsor their partners immigration to the United States.

Nice to see the dimmicommies have their priorities right for their congressional work! Talk about fiddling while Rome burns....
i think it’s gratuitous cruelty that I cant get those buggers to make and keep an appointment so that I can get my wife’s green card application process completed.
But I’m a white, heterosexual male so it’s ok to treat me like garbage...
I can see a new movie in the making.... green card II, with andy dick and patrick stewart who plays a french guy who’s trying to get his citizenship. then green card III, with ellen de generous and Portia de Rossi who plays an australian trying to move to NYC ....
Uh oh. Looks like the Wookiie found a way to make her man legal.
Leftists put great importance on promoting homosexual sodomy and baby killing.
Another Democrat attempt to tear down American morals and values while the U.S. ship of state picks up speed on its way to a financial Niagra Falls.
Want to know why we should support RINOs?
They elect the Republican committee chairs, who make sure bills like this don’t get out of committee. It doesn’t matter if the RINOs might vote for these bills if they were allowed to reach the floor, because that’s not going to happen
Your typical homosexual is lucky to keep their number of bum chums limited by a factor of 10 or more.
Another extra, unecessary law for homos. Go through the normal process LEGAL immigrants go through, homos.
The Republicans should sneeringly suggest that if the Democrats were serious about catering to the homosexual vote, they would have done it when they controlled both houses of congress and the presidency. But *obviously* they are only doing this now, because they know it will never pass.
Which shows what they really think about homosexuals not being very smart.
The crap democrats think is important....How about jobs maybe, you idiots?
You should know by now that the only way Congress can create jobs is by hiring more civil service bureaucratic drones. Their payroll (& bennies) is funded by the taxpayers and is a further drain on an already depressed economy.

LOL, glad they missed this bill last year.
I would like to sponsor a bill that would give Jerry Wadler a passport so he could permanently leave the USA. I am sick of his stupidity.
I don’t see why the American taxpayer shouldn’t be forced to take care of every HIV infected person in the world and provide dates for Barney Frank.
