Comments follow statements by Donald Trump questioning legitimacy of president's birth record
The Hawaiian state health official who personally reviewed Barack Obama's original birth certificate has affirmed again that the document is "real" and denounced "conspiracy theorists" in the so-called "birther" movement for continuing to spread bogus claims about the issue.

"Its kind of ludicrous at this point," Dr. Chiyome Fukino, the former director of Hawaii's Department of Health, said in a rare telephone interview with NBC.
Fukino, sounding both exasperated and amused, spoke to a reporter in the aftermath of Donald Trump's statements on the NBC Today show last week questioning whether Obama has a legitimate birth certificate.
Trump, who says he is considering a run for president, repeated his claims on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday, saying that "nobody has any information" about the president's birth and that "if he wasn't born in this country, he shouldn't be president of the United States."

“Hawaii official denounces ‘ludicrous’ birther claims”
Just post the long form, the college transripts and most of this goes away. Or Obama does.
It is not the ONLY thing he could get. The HDOH Administrative Rules say the registrant could get a copy of even the confidential medical portion of the long-form birth certificate simply by requesting it. The COLB is the default when somebody requests a birth certificate, but a person CAN get the whole deal upon request. And that is documented by those who have received long-forms. Micki Booth got a copy of her son’s long-form on March 15, 2011. That’s at http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/205497_1646821495774_1394022018_31363733_2189254_n.jpg
There is video of a woman at the HDOH office ordering a certified copy of her long-form and being told she would receive it in 2 weeks. That’s at http://myveryownpointofview.wordpress.com/2010/10/14/some-tropical-truth/ .
These people are blatantly lying, which we can see by the documentation in front of our faces. And they call US “ludicrous” for believing our lying eyes rather than the documented liars that they are.
He obviously was not born in Hawaii or the US. There is no other reason to fight this than that!
Ugh. FukiNo
Fuk-if-I-know!
Yes all you ever get is a certified copy. I had to get one once for my passport. I can assure you the US passport office will not accept a COLB.
So in essence all of this mumbo jumbo is an attempt to assist Barry Soetoro or whatever his real name in his ongoing fight to keep his records under wraps.
I hope Donald Trump blows the lid off this and soon.
Thanks for responding, butter. I think I’ll send a request to Okubo for the document pertaining to the Metadata of the IT system used in Vital Records. I don’t know how they would train a newly hired database administrator without this document.
And if it doesn’t exist, seems like they would need to hire someone to document all this stuff (job creation!). I can’t imagine a system not having this type of information readily available.
Do you know how long the HDOH has to (theoretically) respond to my request? I know you’ve tangoed with these people repeatedly :-)
He’s a she. And, for what it’s worth, she served under Lingle, the then-GOP Gov of HI. I don’t know if Lingle was able to find another R on any of the islands.
Well .... remember Christmas of 2008 when the lights went out for several hours? My guess is that is when the fix was done. They probably needed to hand write it because no time to find a typewriter to match.
Hmmmm, I didn’t realize that it appears she is on a plane. Now that is interesting.
I got a copy of my long form this last year (not in Hawaii) and it was like pulling teeth to get it. As soon as I said what I wanted the woman(African American) got a major attitude. It took me a good 10 minutes to finally get her to admit I could get the long form.
They’re supposed to reply within 10 business days, but they can respond by asking a stupid question, trying to say they don’t understand what you’re asking for.
The people you’d need to talk to would actually probably be the IT people; if you go through the HDOH that’ll just add another 10 business days for them to waste, sending it on to IT. I think it was 6 months or something before I finally got a response where they said that revealing the record I asked for would frustrate a legitimate government function (they can’t maintain records if somebody knows when the record for Barack Hussein Obama II was accessed).
If the Hawaii government ever gets done doing their “power maintenance”, you should be able to find contact information for the IT people at http://hawaii.gov/lrb/capitoli/dirguide/ .
Good luck, and I hope this helps. If there’s anything I can do to help just give me a yell and if I can do it, I will.
Thanks for that link! So by clicking around a bit this is what I got:
http://hawaii.gov/auditor/Overviews/2009/09-06overview.pdf
This document created by the State Auditor Marion M. Higa in March 2009 (2 yrs ago) pretty much states that the IT function in Hawaii is a stepchild, receives minimal attention and probably insufficient funding.
I think I’ll send an email to Ms. Higa to find out if anything happened to improve the situation after she sent this document to the Governor (I assume).
Anyway, thanks Butter. This is a start. It will be interesting to see what Higa says.
She found the original birth record, properly numbered, half typed and half handwritten, and signed by the doctor who delivered Obama, located in the files
Its very possible this person did see the original Kenyan birth certificate, and indeed it is genuine. This statement doesn't disqualify that possibility.
As for the birth announcements in the news paper. Mom, a banker, probably yelled at her hussy daughter to get the hell back to Hawaii; she then placed the announcement in the newspapers as any grandmother would do over her grandson - fully expecting her daughter and her new born to be back "home" as soon as possible.
The state official in charge of vital records would be the State Registrar, or Alvin Onaka, in 2007 and when Fukino made her statements.
It’s an outright lie that a person cannot get a copy of a long form. There’s a copy at the Post & Email News right now, obtained March 15, 2011:

Nothing written down regarding their computer data entry or processing procedures or policies? That has to be the very most OBVIOUS OUTRIGHT LIE of all. How the heck do they train employees? How the heck did they have a database created? How the heck did the programmers know the data fields and how to set up the data entry screens to edit and thus prevent errors? How did they put out requests for proposals? They would need detailed specifications. Whoever set up the computer system would have detailed specs. They would have to have these records. Especially because it’s a government entity that runs on taxpayer money. They have to be accountable to the taxpayers.
What kind of reporter is Isikoff if instead of investigating this situation and procedure at the actual HDOH, he instead interviews a FORMER official? She can say anything now and it carries about as much weight as whatever I say to a reporter. She can’t lose her job if she lies. She isn’t under oath. She didn’t sign an affidavit, like Tim Adams did. Wouldn’t it make more sense to investigate AT the HDOH? Why didn’t they tape her or at least publish a transcript of the entire interview, in context? It doesn’t pass the smell test.
Isikoff carried water for the Clinton regime ... he's a screaming liberal of the first order.
