IT’S NO DEAL, IT’S A SELLOUT
Dick Morris .com ^ | April 9,2011 | Dick Morris

Posted on 04/09/2011 12:25:41 PM PDT by Hojczyk

John Boehner has just given away the Republican victory of 2010 at the bargaining table. Like the proverbial Uncle Sam who always wins the war but loses the peace, he has unilaterally disarmed the Republican Party by showing that he will not shut down the government and will, instead, willingly give way on even the most modest of cuts in order to avoid it. He now has no arrows left in his quiver.

Having failed to stand firm for just $61 billion in cuts in a budget of $3.7 trillion, how can we expect him to stand firm over the debt limit extension or the 2012 budget? We can’t. The excellent budget proposals of Paul Ryan are no more than a pipe dream now. Boehner has He sold us out now and he’ll sell us out again.

It is the duty of every Republican Congressman to vote no on this terrible deal. It violates our campaign promises to the American people. We promised $100 billion of cuts and we delivered $38 billion ($62 billion on a twelve month basis). In the Republican House’s first real test out of the box it has broken the promise over which it was elected. Only in Meat Loaf’s music is “two out of three not bad.”

This concession makes it clear that:

* Obamacare will not be defunded. * The EPA will not be blocked from regulating carbon. * The NLRB will not be stopped from forcing an end to secret ballots in union contests. * Medicaid will not be block granted and turned over to the states. * Welfare spending will not be cut nor work requirements imposed. * The FCC will not be stopped from regulating talk radio.

In short, we have accomplished nothing by our hard work in 2010.

Except we have learned a lesson.

And the lesson is this: We need to purify our party and purge it of the likes of John Boehner and all those Congressmen who vote for the budget sellout. The Tea Party must take the lead in this purifying fire. We must not let the RINOs win!

DickMorris.com will post prominently (and permanently) the names of all GOP freshmen who vote for this rotten deal. It will be in a column headed: THESE ARE THE SELLOUTS. Check it out and back their primary opponents!

Yeah, sure Dickie Poo. Everyone just KNEW that winning ONE house in Congress was going to mean that the GOP would have its way didn’t they? Well, everyone stupid “knew” that. Anyone who understands the slightest reality knows that the 2010 victories WERE ONLY THE FIRST STEP in a long process. Put in a filabuster proof Senate and then you can complain.

Tricky Dickie (the well known political whore) is just trying to get the gullible upset and he will succeed I have no doubt with the “are we there yet?” kids in the back seat.)

WINNING

Why just yesterday afternoon Boehner said he would stand by his pledge to cut off all funding for Planned Parenthood.

He then backed off of that pledge.

LOSING!

I'm ready to go Tea Party at this point - the GOP/RNC clearly is not serious about the admittedly tough job that is in front of them. Both parties fear the tea party. Both parties ignore the constitution. Both parties are callous to the death of the unborn, the securing of the border, the fiat money system controlled by non-government Fed. Both engage in smear and subversion of patriots. We have been sold out! We had the presidency and both houses and were betrayed. There is no hope in the GOP, they have bought. The tea party will be marginalized and mocked by the press and both parties. We are past critical mass, voting cannot change the coming demise of the last great hope for liberty on planet earth. The only hope for the establishment of liberty again is probably by the same means it was won last time. By the blood of patriots who care more for holy cause of liberty and their progeny than their comfort. Men who do not fear death nearly as much as they despise tyranny. To find such men, we will have to raise them and that will take a great deal of national repentance.

We are past critical mass? I sure hope not, but your words echo my feelings and ring true. I just cannot see how men of honor could not at least TRY to fix this now instead of another day. This budget battle is not that difficult, and it isn't a war. It is a simple matter of who controls the purse. Since the House controls it right now, they should only "dole out" a balanced portion, and let the rest of the govt be hanged. Take what we give you, and kwitcherbitchin Senate and ()bama, live within your means. Let the USSC figure out what is a necessary and Constitutional distribution of funds. Maybe, just maybe, they would declare everything not mentioned in the delegated powers un-Constitutional, and order them disbanded. Since we are headed for a rock wall anyway, what could it hurt?

Can’t say I disagree with you... just know that as long as Obamy’s in the white house, the Senate belongs to the left and a good portion of the GOP are Rinos... you ain’t gunna get what your wishin’ for completely, and forcing a shut down does nothing but cause the politicians to dig in their heels. I believe there are plenty of good folks that got voted in this last time... perhaps in 2012 more will be there to right this sinking ship. But hey, I’ve been ready to go Tea Party, if and when it happens.

Year in, year out... one thing that the GOP will never let us down on... is that they will let us down.

Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world.

Dick Morris is right, of course. As is Mark Levin.

Obama ups federal spending 25% of GDP. Boehner then gets a fraction of cuts that amounts to practically NOTHING.

Instead of using the Speakers bully pulpit to his advantage and making his case to the American people, Boehner's taken a page out of the Bush43 playbook. Boehner and his fellow GOP leadership pals have allowed the Dems to continue to demagogue and use propaganda to their benefit.

Sadly, Boehner has failed conservatives.

Ssdly the ‘house has to come down’ before enough people realize that a new one is needed.

So you are assuming that the Republicans love America and want what is best, living under a balanced budget with stable finances. Democrats hate America and want to "live for today" with deficits as far as the eye can see.

Under that scenario, it is 2 to 1. I prefer to see an opportunity to gather American loving patriots from both sides, and balance the budget. Go to them and ask them to join in privately, if they won't join in, go public with every dollar raised spent on educating, propagandizing, whatever needs be done. The problem is the parties, not the people. Pry the people loose from their leadership and get this done.
