"Darks, our host this month is not a troll, and though the charter of the Undead Thread gives a preference to Zot threads it is not a requirement." It is eminently suitable and correct to have a thread about anteaters interspersed among our Zot! threads.
Remember the "BC" anteater created by Johnny Hart, and his famous rallying cry?

There was a problem in Texas with leprosy-bearing armadillos. We don’t see them here in NC; only the occasional rabid opossum or aardvark.
I’d never heard of the pangolin until Petunia went to Singapore, but now I think it’s the perfect Undead Thread animal. Even better than penguins.

Good morning! I was surprised to see the new thread this morning ... my son Tom had set the calendar to April 31! This makes him officially 14-1/2 years old, and eligible for driver’s ed.

My oldest scared the bejabbers out of me ... on purpose ;-). I used to ride with #1 son, who is now 17 and can have a license once he has his Eagle Scout project approved, but I was in a head-on collision about a year and a half ago and I’m more nervous now, especially when I’m not in the 15-passenger van that saved my life (and Sally’s, and the baby’s).
Hopefully #2 son won’t get overconfident as quickly as the last one did: even his Dad refused to take him for driving practice after a while.

Eagle ScoutWell your experience has been more... exciting... than ours was as we went through taking 3 sons through driver's training but we had our moments, too. And I hope you are fully recovered from your accident! Your nerves will take awhile.
Also, congrats on your Eagle Scout. A great accomplishment especially in these dark days.

He’s not quite an Eagle Scout yet ... one more badge to finish, and then his project. He’s got something to do for the county parks department and is getting the materials and paperwork organized. He has until next April, when he turns 18, to finish.
My left knee, which hit the steering column, still hurts sometimes, and my nerves are okay most of the time. The collision was on a two-lane road, and the other driver pulled out of the oncoming traffic and drove straight into me, didn’t even slow down. I get a little rattled on the two-lane roads now, especially if anyone gets the urge to pass!
I feel reasonably safe in the van, but we have a little compact 4-door sedan for our teenagers to drive in, and it’s like being in a SmartCar compared to the van! In the passenger seat, I feel like mailboxes are going to hit me right in the teeth.

We’re over here!
The move went very smoothly, as usual, and though this is not a ZOT! thread, it is funny....
