A female juror in a high-profile American mafia murder trial was sentenced to indefinite jury duty after giving racist answers to a court questionnaire.
The Asian woman in her 20s was asked along with hundreds of others to provide answers to the survey prior to serving on the jury for the trial of crime boss Vincent Basciano.
But the woman enraged a Federal Court judge in New York by answering the question, 'Name three people you least admire', with the answer: 'African-Americans, Hispanics and Haitians.'
When asked by a judge at Brooklyn Federal Court to explain her answer, she replied: 'You always hear about them in the news doing something.'
The woman, known only as 'Juror No. 799', went on to claim all police officers are lazy, and only use their sirens to bypass traffic jams.
Lawyers in the case successfully requested she be removed from jury duty in Basciano's trial due to her 'inappropriate' comments.
A furious judge, Nicholas Garaufis, held up the woman's questionnaire in court and told her: 'This is an outrage, and so are you!' Referring to her racist answers, Judge Garaufis sarcastically asked the juror: 'Why didn't you put Asians down also?'
The woman replied: 'Maybe I should have.'
Jurors in America have been known to try to escape jury duty by providing outlandish answers to jury questionnaires.
But the Asian woman's views evidently backfired, as she has since been told she will serve on the jury until the judge deems her ready for release.

The elite in this country are so removed from the ground-level nitty gritty racial issues in this country, they can't believe that some of the plebians still harbor impure thoughts.
People who annoy you- NAGGERS?
A judge is just a lawyer with too much power.
Lawyers, Journalists and Cops
Now I’m scared to death to answer the question honestly: Obama, Pelosi and Reid.
Like I tell my wife, if you don’t want to hear the answer, don’t ask the question. Would the Judge have liked it better if she lied and then they had to throw the conviction (if any) out when someone complained later?
There is an exchange that often goes like this:
Lib: You can’t be intolerant of others!
Con: Really, isn’t that intolerant? Are you tolerant of Christian values?
Lib: We don’t have to tolerate bigotry and intolerance.
Con: How do you feel about Islam? Game. Set. Match.
“ONLY WHITES CAN BE RACIST”
Obviously not in this case. The woman was oriental.
Good answer, Je$$e won't have to come over to your house.
Which could backfire when the juror automatically votes guilty when a black is a defendant.
Why have questionnaires anyway, you’re probably better off picking 12 people completely at random, without having to know anything about them. It would get rid of the whole juror picking nonsense. Just pick 12 people and get on with it.
Every day we see examples of the corruption of American Absolute Power, some minor like this judge, some major like the ATF and their Project Gunwalker stonewalling/cover up or obama/Reid/Pelousy"Care" and how it was enacted.
Morality is a good first line of defense, especially if backed by the fear of consequences. Apparently, they are no longer afraid, assuming they ever were.
You’re smarter than Mr. Marsh.
Obviously it’s “naggers” - what else could it be?
We've always been at war with Fantasia, Citizen.
I will take institutional tyranny for $200 Alex!
IMHO this is out of proportion reporting.
I think the judge felt this was an attempt to not serve and so he left her on the list so she had to appear each day anyway. He did not send her back to be chosen again for another jury.
Sometimes the simple answer is the right one??
The woman replied: ‘Maybe I should have.’ “
She should have said: “There were only 3 choices. Had there been 4; “judge” would have been choice number 4”
My wife threatens to do something like this when called for jury duty. This is what is known as a smart alec response and can piss off a judge to no end. Just fill in the box about “Is there any thing else we should know?” with, “I will find it hard to overcome my prejudices about [ethnic group here] people.”
