From the Mail article:
There was no common script and considerable intermingling of language and writing systems between groups. Which means it could take years of detailed scholarship to accurately interpret the codices.

“The director of Jordans Department of Antiquities, Ziad al-Saad, has few doubts. He believes they may indeed have been made by followers of Jesus in the few decades immediately following his crucifixion.
They will really match, and perhaps be more significant than, the Dead Sea Scrolls, he says. The initial information is very encouraging and it seems that we are looking at a very important and significant discovery maybe the most important discovery in the history of archaeology.”

I have noted a curious similarity between the image on the lead tablet and the photograph of the owner of the lead tablet.

“What language is really stamped in the metal? Greek (with misspellings) as your blog stated, or ancient Hebrew, as the article states?”
They are talking about two separate codices from the same batch. The one in this article seems to have some form of Hebrew or Aramaic script on it (though I can’t identify some of the letters), while the codex in the article was presented last year, with a different backstory, and has Greek text on it. The Greek-text codex has resurfaced as part of this “new” discovery, along with the one shown in this article.

You said
codice did you mean, *bodice*? Strange story this. :)
