Obama eligibilty: Motivating the GOP to act
Ordinary_American | March 31, 2011 | Ordinary_American

Nearly all of the GOP leadership say Obama's eligibility is a non-issue. Is it even worth pursuing further? If so, in this case, the only stick voters may have is to threaten not to vote in 2012. This situation represents a precedent. It seems that the Constitution will only be invoked when it politically convenient, otherwise it can be ignored. Opinions?

Who, in the court’s opinion, does have standing to bring this issue to court?

A State would have standing because the POTUS is the President of the UNITED STATES

I’m starting to be of the opinion the only way we’re going to get the GOP to act on this is threats of imprisonment for committing treason by NOT acting.

Yeah, I know, like THAT’s going to happen.......

Only thing I do know is this thing is NOT GOING AWAY like they hoped it would. And praise God for that!

One problem is the courts continually rule that nobody has standing in this issue. Enlisted men don’t have standing. Voters don’t have standing. Even elected federal office holders don’t have standing. Who, in the court’s opinion, does have standing to bring this issue to court?

This is the great evil in this situation. The Constitution is the most basic law in the land. The current status is that no one is empowered to enforce the constitution. What is the insidious long term impact of that on the enforcement of all laws in general?

Shameless wimps, they are. At least Nancy Pelosi has an excuse. What excuse does any Republican have for sidestepping the issue of Obama's eligibility? The man is a COMPLETE FRAUD. By now every sane person has to be questioning EVERTHING in Obama's representation of his pre-Chicago years.

No, the latest isn't the Birth Certificate. It's that information has surfaced that he ONLY SPENT ONE YEAR AT COLUMBIA. (See here.) But the birth certificate is such a simple thing. He needs to show it or get out. And if it clearly reveals he is not eligible or committed some other obvious fraud he needs to go to prison.

The GOP leadership screws are loose. Almost on every issue, they fail to act on anything of substance against the Dems. They can’t even hold the line when it comes to deficit spending and the national debt. It’s no wonder that they are jellyfish.

If we start sending emails and/or faxes to their offices threatening to vote their asses out in 2012 if they don’t start doing OUR BIDDING

I honestly don't think that works anymore. The real movers and shakers in D.C. AREN'T the ones we vote for, that's the problem. The ones we vote for are just puppets and they do the will of whoever is pulling the strings, say one thing to get elected, and then do what whoever or whatever the real powers that be tell them to.

The one and only thing IMHO that will 'move' these corrupt politicians is very real threats of imprisonment and yeah, even execution, for having violated their oaths while committing treason. And honestly with a corrupt judiciary as well it may take very real torches and pitchforks to get things changed. We've passed the Rubicon already. There is absolutely no way in double H e hockey sticks we're going to be able to remove all this corruption without blood in the streets. No way, we've let it go too far before responding.

Just a note of caution, if somehow Obama got thrown out of office on the birther issue those of you in places near Detroit, LA, New York etc.. better be armed and well stocked up on ammo. The Watts riots of 1968 will look like a salesman convention compared to what would happen...

"Are you afraid?"

a. I don't live near the places mentioned.

b. I'm a combat veteran.

c. My goal in the post was to throw out a word of caution because if the ball ever got truly rolling on this, you should be vigilant. Especially if you live in one of those places.

The only thing holding this back is the power of the Obama cult and its minders to lable people a “kook.” The vast masses of America really have no opinion that is not manufactured and approved, they go with the flow.

That may have been the reasoning behind Hillary and McCain not pursuing this in the first place.

"That may have been the reasoning behind Hillary and McCain not pursuing this in the first place."

Very true. No judge could deny them standing. In Clinton's case, she would have desperately needed the black vote to win the Presidency. If she got Obama kicked out of the primary season due to this, blacks in this country would have never voted for her.

Agree 100%. The time is well past to let our “system” correct itself. It is too far broken. The crooks are in charge of policing their own. And we can all figure out how well that will work.

Time to wipe the slate clean and start all over again. It is time for another “Night of the Long Knives”.

I agree. Anyway, I believe he was born in Hawaii, but that there is something on the birth certificate that is embarrassing to him, so that is why he isn’t letting it be published.

I'm glad to see someone else in my corner. Unfortunatly we will not see this & more pile on of corruption will take place until a complete collapse.

Carl Rove on the O’Reily show last night was a complete idiot. He has no balls for this issue. His claim that the “Republicans” do not support this fight is wrong. He may have done a lot of good for Bush 43 but he also did a very lot “bad”. He is a major part of the current Republican problems. O’Reily is of the same view.

Well of COURSE it’s a non-issue to the GOP leadership. These limp-wristed, spineless piss-ants are frightened to DEATH of offending the NY Times, the WaPo and CNN!! Besides, they don’t want to jeopardize all of those BLACK VOTERS Juan attracted in 2008! Both might vote for Hussein next time.

We have two factions in this country,
one that wants to be left alone to enjoy the fruits of their own labor,
and the other that demands to be allowed to live at the expense of that the former group.

The latter group are willing to use the force of government to make the former group comply,
and the former group try to gain control of the government simply to thwart the latter group.

It’s going to come down to violence, I don’t see any other way out of it. And, there will have to be a trigger point some time. This might as well be it.

Better that our children live in a free country than that we avoid “unrest” now.
