Trump warns of 'greatest scam' ever
CNN ^ | 03/31/2011 | CNN Political Unit

It's official: Donald Trump is a "birther." But he'd prefer you don't use that term.

Speaking to MSNBC Thursday, the business mogul and improbable presidential candidate reiterated much of what he has said in the last several days when it comes to doubting President Obama's birthplace, declaring, "I am embracing the issue, and I'm proud of the issue. I think somebody has to embrace it."

Wow - I never thought of the “caucasian” thing!

That would mean the left does NOT have their first black President! That would be HUGH and SERIES!

I didn’t. That’s exactly what I meant. Those who did the work to get him in office pulled the greatest scam ever.

That phrase reminds of Rove being a total D-bag about this issue, saying it does nothing but distract.

Very well stated and so very true!

My definition of “Birther”:
A person who wants proof that the person who holds the office of President of the United States meets the three constitutional requirements to be Commander in Chief.

Requirement 1: Born on American soil.
Requirement 2: Born of parents who were US citizens.
Requirement 3: Of at least 35 years of age.

>He is trying to start a third party to split the Republican vote. Wake up.

That the GOP has so thoroughly rolled over on the eligibility issue, has [for the most part] rolled over on the ObamaCare issue [they could themselves investigate the Constitutionality of ObamaCare and/or actually call for a straight-up repeal on ObamaCare], the sound of crickets (save two) in Congress over the ‘Gunwalker’ incident which is at the least a violation of international treaty w/ Mexico, the absolute inaction on actual border security {congress CAN call up the militia and authorize it, and the active army, to take [violent] action... in fact, Sec 4 of Art 4 obligates them to do so} all indicate to me that the Republican Party, as a party, does not actually mean to pursue its party-planks.

Therefore, it may be surmised that the Republican Party, as a party, should be left —shunned and forsaken— in the cold to die: a party which will not in any way stand for its planks is an utterly useless lie.

I do like what Trump has to say about China. As long as the Bushes were in charge of the Republican Party, an open and honest philosophical discussion of our complicated relationship with China was not possible.

{Caucasian” is a good possibility.}

Nonsense, it would be declared a simple mistake, as he clearly is not white. All these snipe hunts are clearly designed to divert attention to the fact that his father was not a Citizen, which precludes his NBC status.

We also forget that Hawaii refused to certify his eligibility, which led to two different eligibity certificates to be issued and signed by Pelosi and the DNC.

Look at the picture with lots of forced and rehearsed laughter! An experienced psychiatrist will see it easily.

The MSM is way behind the blogs and other Internet sites. See my analysis on how my students are doing, below.

The MSM started to do what I wrote in my perfect gem “Rules for Radicals.”

1- Ignore them...they did that already
2- Isolate them...so-called birthers are labeled loons
3- Ridicule them...see the picture, it’s worth a thousand words
4- Fight them...they started a long time ago on the blogs and Internet sites. The MSM is catching up!

C’mon MSM, get them birthers, but stay away from ghosters (moi, one of my hats)

I was dismissing Trump's presidential rumblings until this. Now I realize he's within striking distance of the GOP nomination.

Raising birth certificate issue is a calculated move, and his responses indicate he's thought out the reaction. He thinks it will get him grounded with the GOP ground troops, bypassing the normal power brokers. Now he's just testing to see if his theory is right.

Trump has more star power than Pawlenty, Huntsman, Daniels and the 'serious' candidates. He's not divisive like Palin. He's generally liked, unlike Gingrich.

In saner times, Trump wouldn't have a prayer. In the era of Obama, ... hell, why not? He'd win a general election against Obama, because he can appeal to the independents and soft-thinking middle. Now he just needs to win the GOP nomination.

Looks like he's making his move. Drawing Obama's blood. Nobody, left or right, is daring to stop him. You do this effectively, and you wind up with the initiative. You do it for more than a few days, and you start building momentum. Who, I wonder, will finally step up and take him on? Will it be too late to stop him? Absurd, all of it, but it cannot be ignored.

>Yes. Obama stole time (4 years worth), money (trillions), history (he’s not the first minority president), and trust(of institutions).

I have one nit to pick.
The “trust” that you claim Obama stole; given the actions of those in the government regarding eligibility I think it utterly unfair to say that he stole any trust.
It would be better to say that he was merely the catalyst [or light] to show how the trust we had previously put in “the system” and “the government” was unfounded.

Go to johnnydollar.us, under today’s stories. The fifth one down shows a link to parts 1 and 2 of yesterday’s Trump interview on O’Reilly (I’m sorry; I don’t know exactly when in the link he stated his position on life, but it was definitely on last night’s program.)

But basically what he said is that he used to be pro abortion, but he now knows so many people who thought about abortion and didn’t follow through. And now they just treasure their kids so much. It seemed convincing to me, anyway.

That's a good possibility, too. It could very well be both.

This is just my opinion - I think that it would need to politically detrimental for him to be worried about it. Here at FR we worry about things like "Laws" and "The Constitution" ... but really, do think that the room-temp-IQ Obama voters would care if he was ineligible to be prez, on (what's perceived as) just a Constitutional technicality? I don't think so. "It's just a moldy old document written by a bunch of dead white men, who were racists anyway.", or somesuch, would be the general opinion.

Nope, IMHO, it's got to be something really, really simple. "He ain't black" is about as easy as it gets.

Similar to my thoughts.

But I still wonder what Trumps game is. Is he really going for the POTUS?
