Trump warns of 'greatest scam' ever
CNN ^ | 03/31/2011 | CNN Political Unit

It's official: Donald Trump is a "birther." But he'd prefer you don't use that term.

Speaking to MSNBC Thursday, the business mogul and improbable presidential candidate reiterated much of what he has said in the last several days when it comes to doubting President Obama's birthplace, declaring, "I am embracing the issue, and I'm proud of the issue. I think somebody has to embrace it."

Trump, who in the last two weeks has raised the debunked issue on several programs

Ah yes, just like "the science has been settled."

He is trying to start a third party to split the Republican vote. Wake up.

Now Trump should start ridiculing Obama’s constant use of teleprompters. Trump should say he’s been all over the world and never saw any foreign leaders use one. That GW Bush would have been slagged mercilessly if he used them all the time

Agreed. Rove gives true meaning to the term RINO.

Trump just moved ahead of Rove and O’Reilly on my respect-o-meter. That said, he’s still behind pond scum and turkey droppings.

It's the Republican Party that had better "Wake Up."

That is a great analogy. Madoff is hated, and all he did was less than 100 billion in fraud.

Obama “trumped” that with the first trillion dollar stimulus bill.

A lot of people have been afraid to say anything about “The One.”

Trump might just open up the “Pandora’s Box”, where suddenly everybody won’t be afraid anymore to say what they think about Obama.

I don’t agree. I watched him last night on Bill O’Blowhard’s show and he was completely disinterested in policy matters. He wanted those questions over as soon as he could get them over with. What he was interested in was hammering the birth certificate issue. When the issue came up, his eyes lit up and he was like a dog with a bone.

I think you’re right that he wants to save the country, but he doesn’t want to do it by being president. It looks more to me like he’s taking the lead on this issue as part of a larger plan to help someone else.

The question is: who? I wonder what potential candidates Trump has met and been impressed with. I wonder if maybe he and another potential candidate have gotten to know each other. I wonder if there are any potential candidates who might have had a television show made by the same production company as Trump’s...

If it wasn’t Lent I’d say the H word (H@llelujah). lol

FINALLY somebody gets just how serious this really is. To have the whole media laughing about this issue is about like somebody making fun of the appearance of an 11-year-old girl’s hair as she is buried up to her neck and stoned to death because she was raped by her uncle the day before.

FINALLY somebody gets this. Thank you, Mr. Trump! You are definitely a great American.

OK they do need to wake up but don’t follow Trump. Ask yourself why he can be on all TV shows to talk about these issues and no one else could for all this time. Trump is running a scam.

I’m conflicted on this one. Trump’s great in his own milieu, but that isn’t politics, and he won’t ever play well in Peoria. He’s got a name, everyone knows of him, and he can get media attention. He can spot a con on the other side of the moon. But he’s no conservative and he could be shilling for Hillary.
It’s Hillary I’m keeping an eye on. Suddenly she looks 15 years younger and is even getting her hair washed and styled.
Three distinct possibilities:
1 Biden declines to run again and she gets the veep nomination;
2 0bama is such damaged goods, he declines to run and she’s now grooming (literally) to take his place with his cooperation;
3 Same as #2 only she has to play Brutus.

As for Trump, he loves America more than 0bama does, but that isn’t saying a whole lot. He believes in the force of money, not in conservativism. I suspect that deep down he sees no difference between left and right, and that’s hardly surprising because neither one has ever given him much help telling them apart.
In any case, he’s not running. He’s playing the media. It’s what he does. In fairness I won’t speculate out loud about why, but I have some ideas. :(

most folks really don’t know how this game gets played....The BOR interview was pretty much staged. It’s part of the Trump’s team strategy of creating and controlling pushback to keep the story rolling...and it’s working.

You have to put together the pieces from the different circles these folks travel in...I have posted this a couple of times...Date was last week...I think you’ll see what I mean.

“for those that didn’t get the memo about how this all works:

see: http://www.page2live.com/2011/03/26/fox-news-bill-oreilly-donald-trump-factors-into-presidential-politics/

“Fox News star Bill O’Reilly (above) spent most of his keynote address at a Palm Beach fundraising gala Friday imagining a world where Donald Trump (above) would be president.”

Because unlike the others, Donald puts eyeballs on the TV screen.

He has said good things about Shrillary. Maybe, he is trying to help her out while casting the blame on Republicans?

Whatever the strategy, I am glad someone of his celebrity has taken the BC by the horns.
