Pastor had sex with teens to cure their homosexuality
WI Gazette ^ | March 25, 2011

Posted on 03/30/2011 8:34:47 PM PDT by Neil E. Wright

Brent_Girouex- A former youth pastor in Council Bluffs, Iowa, says he had sex with teenage boys because it was his pastoral duty “to help (the teen) with homosexual urges bypraying while he had sexual contact with him.”

But law enforcement has a different view of his actions. Earlier this month, Brent Girouex, 31, was arrested on 60 counts of suspicion of sexual exploitation by a counselor or therapist, reported The Daily Nonpareil.

In February, Girouex told Council Bluffs police detectives that he had sexual contact with four young men starting in 2007 in order to help them gain “sexual purity in the eyes of God.”

But Pottawattamie County Attorney Matt Wilber told the Nonpareil that at least eight men have come forward with complaints that Girouex molested them.

Court documents indicated Girouex told investigators the most sexual contact he had was with one teen over a four-year period, starting when the boy was 14 years old. Calling the contact “mutual,” he said it had occurred between “25 and 50 times” during that period.

When investigators spoke to the teen, who’s now an adult, he told them the number was between 50 and 100.

Three other young men who were teenagers when the incidents occurred told investigators the sex occurred at Girouex’s home. All said they went to be helped with “sexual purity.”

“When they would ejaculate, they would be getting rid of the evil thoughts in their mind,” Girouex allegedly told detectives.

Wilber said investigators are following leads to see if there are more victims. Girouex is currently free on $30,000 bond.

I’ve had older family members who belonged to very strict churches that practiced shunning of unrepentant sinners. At one time, entire communities did so. It seems rather too severe to most in the modern era, and perhaps it errs too far on the side of caution, condemning souls to Hell who might otherwise be saved. But, we as Christians on the whole now err too far on the side of incaution, otherwise these seemingly daily posts of horrendous abuse and moral failure would not be such a topic of heated discussion.

Shooting him is to good.

Thanks for posting this, we must be alert for wolves in sheep’s clothing.

Thankfully the police have him and there is no hierarchical structure moving him from one unsuspecting flock to another.

So engaging in more sexual impurity is how you gain sexual purity

A truly ancient Christian heresy. Popped up in the ancient Roman empire as one of the gnostic heresies, in the Byzantine empire, as one of the more extreme of the versions of the Reformation, and in Russia as a variant of the Raskolniki. Rasputin was apparently a devotee.

Probably elsewhere too.

***Seems you have a lack of interest in your own church - you obsessively post about everyone else’s; especially, Dr.E and Gamecock. Weird, weird, really weird - spooky weird.***Dr. Amen, Rick Warren's Weight Loss Doctor, Pushes Meditation and Tantric Sex It seems you see what you want to see:

Ted Haggard's new video: Martha Stewart & Michael Vick got restored -- so why not me?
Dr. Amen, Rick Warren's Weight Loss Doctor, Pushes Meditation and Tantric Sex

I could go on an on, including on I posted recently in the last month about a Reformed Church minister who was accused, jailed, defrocked.

The thing that FRoman Catholics don't get is this: It's not about individual priests. It never was. Rome, instead of acting on allegations of abuse, moved Priests from one unsuspecting house of worship to another. You want to talk about spooky weird, that would be it: running an organized sex ring.

I'm glad that the above perv was caught. He's going to jail. When a RC priest gets caught his superiors help him get out of town.

Eckleburg is a "she"?

Supposedly - and even found someone willing to procreate with.

this person is obssessively and has been obsessively posting about anything but her own religion about which she is strangely quiet....

The seemingly daily posts as in the articles posted by this person serve only to smear Christianity as a whole. There was a recent article where Moslems sent imams to protest to the Pope about a Christian pastor burning a koran which kind of tells you that the rest of the world sees us as one Christendom. The liberal media takes the facts that some 2% of pastors are paedophils and 0.53% of priests are too and parades that to smear the other 98-99% of good, honest, god-fearing pastors/priests.

This article is a perfect example of how the leftist media will hold this against all of us. And we fall for it each time, the aim to cause divisions, the spreading of hatred against Lutherans/Catholics/Pentecostals/Methodists/Jews/Orthodox etc.

But the fact remains that in your PCA cult this entire thing would end up in the victim disappearing or worse. Well, a cult of a few thousand does this.

So the agenda to smear all Christians continues eh? HankKerchief's leftist group is still alive on FR.

Yes, and toss in the ex-Catholic "priests" and other denomination pastors/priests who do this -- give them the death penalty because in any case, as shepherds who harmed their flock they're going to burn in the hottest parts of hell.

I realize that - I’m sorry I wasn’t accusing. I’m a Protestant but believe if this had been a Catholic Priest, it would have been posted across the headline.

If this was a Catholic they would have paid off the kids and transferred him to another church and you would know about it at all

This wasn’t pedophilia, this was pederasty; sex with teenagers, not minors.

If they are under 18 they can not give permission to have sex with them ..it is a crime no matter the name attached to it
