U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice says the Obama administration has not ruled out arming Libyan rebels in their fight against Muammar al-Qaddafi, according to Reuters. This comes Libyan government tanks and rockets blunted a rebel assault on Qaddafi's hometown of Sirte on Tuesday and drove back the ragtag army of irregulars, even as world leaders prepared to debate the country future in London.

says it’s okay to arm the rebels,
says we know who they are because France and other countries have recognized them.

They probably heard the Liar-In-Chief last night say everything was OK, then this morning heard we were arming the rebels and pulled out in anger. I would if I were them.
