Real estate mogul and potential 2012 presidential contender Donald Trump defended his questioning of President Obama’s birth certificate Monday morning with a defiant, “this guy either has a birth certificate or he doesn’t.”
“I am really concerned,” Trump said in a phone interview on Fox & Friends. “You have no doctors that remember, you have no nurses -- this is the president of the United States -- that remember. … He could have been born outside of this country. Why can’t he produce a birth certificate?”
Trump, who has been flirting with a run for president, first made a remark about the so-called “birther” issue last week on The View. Obama provided news organizations with a scan of his birth certificate during his 2008 campaign, which some oulets also independently vetted.
“I brought it up just routinely, and now I’m starting to wonder myself whether he was born in this country,” Trump said Monday.

I do remember, back when he was first elected to the IL Senate, that there were news stories about the unlikely event and that he was from Kenya. A complete review of local IL papers and news in that time might turn up what I remember..I have not been able to find it. This was long before his national fame.
Donald, you just would not make a good President, but you do seem to be a good birther.
The birth announcement in the Honolulu paper at the time makes me think he was very likely born there. Is it possible his family could have manipulated that ad at the time? Sure, anything is possible. But it doesn’t seem very likely to me.
If they were so intent at the time to make it seem like he was born in the USA, then why go to Kenya to give birth in the first place?
The reason Trump says he is a really smart guy and wants to know where the BC is, he is tired of anyone asking, being called stupid or labeled Birther to be demeaned.
In Hawaii in 1961, how many black babies were born to white mothers? That alone would have made it likely that a doc or nurse would remember.
I like your analysis.The only other avenue I’d pursue is that the publicity hound in Trump is working with Soros MMFA to make the BC controversy the shouting point in the GOP primaries and make the party look like tin foil hat, black helicopter, conspiracy kooks. All this making an Obama second term look reasonable by contrast.

A white 18 year old girl giving birth to a black child in the early 1960's would be unusual, exceptionally so.

No need for any confirmation in the form of a birth certificate was required.
This was 1961? or sometime there about. All you had to do was tell the newspaper of the birth and they would put it in the paper.

The reason he didn’t have to show a BC was because Pelousy already knew he didn’t meet the requirements so she covered it up. Also the vetting form for Hawaii is different than those for the rest of the states. All these small cracks are getting larger. Keep the pressure on there Trump!

I think Trump should make up a list of ALL the missing docs on our mystery-man and put a price tag on each one...ie:
$10 million for the authentic ong form birth certif
$5 million for authentic application for Soc Security number
$5 million for authentic application for U.S. Passport
$5 million for each college application & grades
etc, etc
And you know this how? It is certainly not out of the realm of possibility. Wait a 100 years and see if history does not, in fact report that occurrence.

Ok, but that presupposes that it was very important to the family that Barack be seen as having been born in the US at the time. Well, if that’s the case, why go to Kenya to give birth in the first place? No one disputes that his parents met and got married in Hawaii. I just have a hard time thinking up a motive for any woman to decide “hey, I’ll go fly thousands of miles to give birth in some third world hospital instead of at a modern US hospital, but I want everyone to think I gave birth here, so I’ll make sure mom pulls the wool over the newspapers’ eyes.”
