What Barrack's March Madness Tells Us

Posted on 03/27/2011 8:59:16 PM PDT by A'elian' nation

Barrack's March Madness bracket picks are a telling self-revelation. An amateur psychologist would have a field day. The doctor is in, and here is the diagnosis.

1) The man has no imagination. No vision. Zilch. Nada! He picks all predictable number one seeds to be in the Final Four. How original is that? For the first time in tournament history there are not even any number 2 seeds much less a number 1. His 2009 Final Four picks were all number ones too. The man is incredibly shallow.

2) He is bereft of the concept of personal struggle of the common man to achieve greatness. He either descended from the heavens into the White House or was delivered there on his affirmative-action carriage. He lives among czars and elites and picks the elites in the brackets.

3) He cavalierly belittles the hunger and power of the underdog. In Barrack's brackets, VCU didn't make it to the second round and Butler was gone after the second round. Whether it is the lesser tournament seeds or Tea Party 'astro-turfers,' he shows them no respect nor accords them a voice.

4) Competition is not a force to be reckoned with in his world. Unlike the corridors of Washington, you can't just deem a No. 1 seed champion.

5) Stubbornness and arrogance. He picked Kansas to go all the way last year and bullheadedly picked them again this year. He even had the vain temerity to suggest that Kansas wouldn't disappoint his Highness again.

This vanity writer is open to second opinions and prescriptions. But if all these character flaws are evident in the mundane art of picking basketball brackets, it is no wonder that it is painfully obvious that when it comes to decision making in the real world; the emperor has no clothes or clue.

That's good stuff!

Obama is a clueless, lazy dolt, always looking for the easy way in or out.

What this tells me is that this prick is more interested in basketball and loose tennis shoes than he is the welfare of the country and our Judeo-Christianity values. One can say all they want about his picks but anyone with a sense of responsibility would ignore the basketball and worry about the world and the US first.

Personally, I don’t think the leader of the free world should be wasting mental energy on picking basketball brackets; however, I’m kind of glad he just went with #1 picks and didn’t spend real time following and researching his picks....

That said..., GO UCONN...!

Obama is a clueless, lazy dolt, always looking for the easy way in or out.

Kind of also describes the people who support him.

He is only 3/16ths black or something. Anybody with slave blood would have seen VCU and Butler making the semi finals.

The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.” — Author Unknown

That's the part that scares the hell out of me. We may very well be too far gone.
