injuries he sustained when he slipped and fell off of the curb after stabbing the Marine.*

LOL...it's been known for a long time now that those curbs in Augusta can be truly nasty {;^)

Looks like just a rumor on the internet. I could find no credible article.

My point being that we aren’t going to have a Maximus, either. No general on a horse, or gladiator in the arena, or quarterback on an NFL team, or Rollerball hero, is going to come “save the Republic.” The common man will save it, or it dies (if it’s not already dead).

The subject was also transported to the local hospital with two broken arms, a broken ankle, a broken leg, several missing teeth, possible broken ribs, multiple contusions, assorted lacerations, a broken nose and a broken jaw...injuries he sustained when he slipped and fell off of the curb after stabbing the Marine.

Is the curb going to be all right?

I agree.

As much as leaders like George Washington and Ronald Reagan are loved, neither of them single-handedly won the day.

But they provided invaluable leadership.

In order for us to apply military power (which is classified as the final resort of all our elements of national power, behind diplomatic; geographic; economic and informational); the REAL question which must be addressed is, “What is America’s strategic interest being jeopardized by a civil war in Libya?”
In other words, why is what’s happening in Libya so important to our national interests and concerns, that we are willing to spend our treasure and blood to alter events in that part of the world? —— why there? And why now? Until we define the “strategic interest” and impact to our national will represented by a Libyan civil war, we cannot adequately defend our action of employing military power against another nation. Unfortunately, everything I’ve heard on the news and read thus far does not identify our endangered national strategic interest. Tell me (the American people) what that is and I might support this new war.

What a shame the Marines were unable inflict those injuries upon him.

Kudos to the Police officer and his creative writing.

Don’t mess with Marines.

———The world is at war,-——

No, it is not.

The action in Libya is trivial and falls far short of being a war

Republican-controlled House voted last week to take a 10-day vacation, finishing up business on Thursday, two days before the strikes began.

Congress wasn't informed this was to take place...if they'd known...this vacation would have been postponed?
