CAIRO The head of the Arab League has criticized international strikes on Libya, saying they caused civilian deaths.
The Arab League's support for a no-fly zone last week helped overcome reluctance in the West for action in Libya. The U.N. authorized not only a no-fly zone but also "all necessary measures" to protect civilians.
Amr Moussa says the military operations have gone beyond what the Arab League backed.
Moussa has told reporters Sunday that "what happened differs from the no-fly zone objectives." He says "what we want is civilians' protection not shelling more civilians."
U.S. and European strikes overnight targeted mainly air defenses, the U.S. military said. Libya says 48 people were killed, including civilians.

It’s a chess board of players....they have to say this so that their own people won’t oppose them if this goes on for too long. Just like Obama is letting Hillary take the front seat...he can always blame her one way or another and save face in the election ahead. They are all players right now...check until checkmate. Long way to go yet.
What about we use their complaints as an excuse to halt all military actions and pull out of this huge misadventure?
It wasn’t just Obozo on this. Our side had many like Juan McCain calling for intervention.
Geesh who could have seen this a comin’ LOL
The modern muslim way of war is to create conditions to maximize civilian deaths; real or manufactured. This makes real the contempt they have for human life, starting with the lives of its own members.
That it also creates the illusion of victimhood, is a propaganda bonus.
You want to prevent civilian deaths? Stop creating them.
I’m satisified with whatever removes the most muslims from the gene pool, whether it is Muslim vs. Muslim or us vs. Muslim.
People say “ethnic cleansing” like its a bad thing.
I attended the funeral yesterday of one of the Airmen killed in Germany by a... you guessed it...Muslim. (PGR mission) I want these animal’s blood.
RIVERS of it.
It wasnt just Obozo on this. Our side had many like Juan McCain calling for intervention.

We ‘supposedly’ have no ‘boots on the ground’ in Libya.
SO, I was wondering how those on OUR SIDE that say it is not justifiable to have civilian collateral damage when protecting our troops, would react when people who were not killing our troops became collateral damage.
“Oh what a tangled web we weave......etc....”
Okay, just give us the oil and we will leave peacefully.
I'm breaking out the popcorn in anticipation of how Obama and the gang are going to distance themselves from Bush and maintain credibility at the same time.
lol thanks for the laugh
I know, go figger that?
The mission accomplished, No Fly zone established!
No more flies in Libya!
Post of the day! ROTFLMAO
We want to protect civilians...
Well get your ass out there and protect them then, lame brain!
Everything you said is spot on.
Sooner or later we must destroy the cult.
We are still swatting flies and it will cost us in the end.
;0)
They are playing Obama and America like a tune.
Seriously. President Passive kind of stumbled into this war. He didn’t really tell America why we are doing it. He obviously didn’t coordinate with Arab countries before he did it. The intervention may be necessary but Obama’s passivity and inexperience are on show here—he didn’t lead and he prepared absolutely no one for this. Then his statements on the war—that it will only go on for a short period—are shocking. When you go to war, you have no idea how long it will last. He had really failed on this one.
Lead, follow, or get out of the way...

GtG
