I feel a heaviness and a foreboding for our country. Do any of you feel we are close to the end, there is so much going on my head is spinning.
We are losing our identity as "Americans", multi-culturalism and socialism is overtaking us. The west is turning away from Israel and that is a dangerous sign. We seem to be aiding the islamists and this all seems so planned to me. Zero is a non-president and seems to be a robot who is told by others what to do.
I just don't know what is up, but it is not good.
Yeah, broke my back.
Don't think that the CHICOMs are blind to that, either.
Sorry to hear that, have you recovered fully or is they lingering difficulties? I never jumped out of perfectly good airplanes, always admired those who would and could!
Burn some Wood with some ribs and chicken!
This is just our time in the wilderness, Good will triumph over evil!
I’ve been in a wheelchair ever since.
My profile page will give you a little background info - http://www.freerepublic.com/~airborne/
Everything (with the exception of technology) has gone downhill since then.
You are an exceptional man indeed....
Thank you. I do what I can.
No.
I would say I hope you are having a better day than yesterday, but based on your question, your heart must still be heavy.
Life is good, and God is great.
Our country has gone through worse times. Too many of us are not willing to give up on it.
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
God told Moses this prayer to tell to Aaron and his sons to use this prayer to bless others. He wanted us to pass it along to others. Today I pass it to you, when you are ready, pass it to another.
Thank-you. I’m fine - although I may not have a job much longer due to no fault of my own. I have some remorse about starting this vanity post-some seem to be offended by my seeking opinions and wanting to chat. Not the right forum, but feel that FR is my second home.
The question posed on this thread is a good one.
Kevin, would you be willing to listen to 68 year old, successful family man, undergraduate and graduate university training here and abroad, multilingual...you get the idea...and all that is meaningless absent the Holy Spirit...what does it take for you to (really) listen?
Blessings on You and Your House.
Shalom
I would disagree slightly. It's begun, but just barely. IF we can get enough congresscritters and other politicians who do NOT listen to sane & sound advice, and follow it, out of office, we can restore our nation. If not, well, this dark age will probably last WAY more than a thousand years.
You and me both, FRiend.
I do think that a combination of:
1) Reigning in the size of government.
2) Simplifying government regulations.
3) Reigning the excesses of Wall Street.
4) Overhauling our national taxation system to make it business-friendly.
May happen over the next ten years and that will put the USA back on track for economic prosperity again.
I would also point you to the numbers of young people who’ve put down their toys, and joined the military to defend US.

Kenny told his mom before he left on his second tour that he wouldn’t be coming home alive, but that it was worth it to defend both the people of the US, and the people of Iraq.
Indeed.. I also agree with 3/4 of your suggestions.
I hear you, man.
I’ve been in anguish for months now, trying to decide whether to buy more pistol ammo or rifle ammo.
Also, the peach tree I planted 4 years ago is in my field of fire if I need to take up a defensive position on the northern perimeter and open up with the M-60. I really, really like that peach tree as it’s given me my summer delight year after year - warm cobbler, peaches and maple ice cream. That summer treat combo attracts a gaggle of peach and ice cream-loving females every August, and I don’t want to see that end. I don’t know whether the tree will survive a replanting. So that bums me out, too.
Cheers. Hope you get over your bummers.
I’m actually a female, thanks for making my day...lol
: )~
I’ve been having identical thoughts. My father, also. I’m in my fifties, he’s in his eighties.
