Below, you’ll find a compilation of 20 days worth of the death threats, vandalism, and intimidation practiced by pro-union thugs opposed to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s budget repair bill. Wisconsin is my home state. I lived there until I was 27 years-old in 1993 and most of my family, including my parents still live there. For that reason and because the issue of education and teachers unions has been a passion of mine for going on two decades, I’ve been following this story very, very closely. My original intent was to compile all of this earlier in the week, but after reading Lee Stranahan’s superb editorial I decided to wait and see if that might have some effect on the national and local Wisconsin media in moving them towards giving the ongoing violence, intimidation, vandalism, and overall thuggery occurring at the hands of union activists and their supporters, the coverage it needs and deserves.

Is there any functional difference between the “Main Stream Media” of the USA and the State-run Pravda publication of the old USSR?
Truly we have a hard left Media in the USA that rivals the Govt-run media of Socialist dictatorships.
A “Fairness Doctrine” is needed for the “Main Stream Media” requiring half the articles to be done by Conservatives.
The left is never embarrassed by their hypocrisy,
because to them, it’s not hypocrisy when measured against their standard of

Why has that idiot sheriff, who at the time of the Tucson shooting, decried how Arizona had become ground zero for intolerance, hatred, etc. — why has he not been laughed and ridiculed out of office???? Why haven’t all the MSM talking heads, who jumped on the bandwagon about the hatred and intolerance of conservatives, which allegedly provoked the shooting, been discredited?
Why are the liberals allowed to say and do anything, and when they are proven wrong about something, nobody is supposed to say anything?
Yet years later, people still remember Dan Quayle misspelling potato, and criticize Bush for spending 7 extra minutes in that classroom on Sept. 11th.

I often wonder the same thing, and I’ve come to the sad conclusion that the conservative side, for whatever reason, has decided to be polite and honorable, while the liberal side is willing to use any tactics available to advance their cause, without the slightest regard for morality or ethics.
The left fights dirty. We’re polite.
What I would love to see is the left get exactly what they shove out, with one caveat - be better than they are. In this regard, we need to adopt the tactics of King and Ghandi, while using the tools of the left. Produce films about Ted Kennedy and Chris Dodd making a waitress sandwich. Flood the nation with stand-up comics savaging the left and their pretense, with the razor-wit of George Carlin and the rudeness of Chris Rock. Silently surround the home of the president of Planned Parenthood, holding signs of aborted fetuses. Send people out to battle the View and the Today Show and any other live show hosted by liberals and get in their faces, slamming their positions, and doing it with humor and good cheer.
Most importantly, adopt the strategies of Alinsky without the ideology of Alinsky. Strategies are just that - ways to do things. There is no reason why conservatives can’t pick a target, freeze it, and polarize it. No reason we can’t use ridicule against our enemies.
Another thread would be to imitate Gramscii, again, without the ideology. Gramscii told the left to infiltrate institutions that deal with culture - the media, academia, government. He called it “the long march through the institutions.” His goal was to place socialists at all points up and down those institutions, and, eventually, move culture in that direction.
That’s what I’m doing right now. I’m an English teacher in a high school. My students are consistently informed about things like the Constitution, rule of law, and American exceptionalism - while actually teaching students grammar, spelling, and literature. Yes, yes, yes, you might argue that this is exactly what the left does, which is true, but please don’t expect me to sit by passively while some of my colleagues convince the young that their culture is so awful it needs to be replaced by the collective. The left doesn’t care about their indoctrination - they just do it. Being polite in response is suicidal. And if the School Board seeks to reprimand me for giving a copy of the Federalist Papers to a bright kid interested in politics - well, I have tenure. Go ahead.
We’re in a fight for the life of our country. It would be nice if other people acted like it.
As long as most people still get their news from the Big 3 outlets, the MSM bias, and the fact that Obama and the Dems seem to be on TV almost every 4 hours, the Dems have a good chance to con and scam voters once more in 2012. The voters who see Fox,the NET, CSPAN, and listen to TALK Radio, will not vote for Obama and the Dem socialists. Will it be enough? We shall see. The Left never gives up and our GOPers seem to be too wussy to fight back. Will they for the rest of 2011-12 , we shall see. I do not hold much hope so Obama could win and drive us into a Third World status; the end of free enterprise. Never in my life have I seen a worst Prez and I am 72.

I recall how we laughed at the USSR's revision of history, after WW II, little did I know we had already been had. WW II interrupted the progressives temporarily, but they are certainly back in full view to any who want to see.
