The House just voted 236-181 to remove federal funding for National Public Radio via the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
3 cheers!
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
236 Cheers!!!
Let the Game Begin!!!!
Bravo Zulu to all of those Republicans, especially my own congressman, Doug Lamborn, who co-sponsored the bill.
Aww, our tax dollars won’t fund a Dem spin machine.
Poor babies.
It’s about time! The Libs would have the government funding NPR in perpetuity.
Will they have to change their name?
Anbyone have suggestions for a new name?
So was Mr. Weeper - I mean, Mr. Speaker, in favor, or not?
Awesome!
Awesome!!! Hope it sticks!!!
There’s some good local programming through CPB, but one thing few people know is that a few years ago, the NPR people changed the rules for the local affiliates and they were FORCED to carry a specific (large) number of the NPR talk programs (leftist rants like “All Things Considered,” etc.). This cost the local stations a lot of their support and listenership. But that didn’t matter in NPR’s ceaseless quest to force its leftist propaganda down our collective throats.
Oh - and to enrich its head honchos.
I’m sure the Senate will take this up right after lunch. /s
Come on Boner, back the Dems in a corner on the budget and debt ceiling; make them defend themselves!
National Palestinian Radio ???
Bravo! NPR can fund their own news programs....like everyone else!
Well they don’t need the money.
In fact, they’d be better off without it. :)
Oh, we can’t let the obvious go...
National Socialist Radio
If the GOP leadership makes it a standalone bill, it is doomed to fail. Just like the defunding of ObamaCare
