Doesn’t mean jack. Senate will NOT pass it. If they truly had any cojones at all they would have put it in the CR.

The ‘public’ radio and TV stations are able to offer tax deduct-ability for contributions. I think this is supposed to go hand in hand with not carrying commercial advertising. But to me it seems like they have crossed the line into advertising, thus should lose the tax exempt status. Best for them to be entirely cut loose and operate under the same rules as commercial stations.

Michelle Bachmann was on local radio here in MN this morning...please tell me this bill cuts ALL NPR funding, not just redirects it to ‘certain’ NPR programming.

Doesnt mean jack. Senate will NOT pass it. If they truly had any cojones at all they would have put it in the CR. I believe you are correct. As far as I know the only way the House alone can cut off NPR is to remove the appropriation from the budget, the Senate cannot put it back in.

Aww, our tax dollars wont fund a Dem spin machine.
Not to worry, they will always have the mediocre alphabet channels to do it.
