Rick Santorum: Sharia is "evil" and "incompatible with American jurisprudence and our Constitution"
Jihad Watch ^ | March 12, 2011

Posted on 03/13/2011 2:43:36 PM PDT by NYer

Santorum is going to get a lot of heat for this. When the Islamic supremacist tools in the mainstream media challenge him on it, he should ask them if they think the death penalty for apostates, stoning for adultery, amputation of the hand for theft, the denial of the freedom of speech, and institutionalized second-class status for women and non-Muslims is not evil. They will then, following some smooth Islamic supremacist deceiver, claim that those things are not part of Sharia; Santorum should then challenge them to name one Muslim country that has ever implemented Sharia without implementing those measures, or one school of Islamic jurisprudence that does not teach such things.

"Rick Santorum: Sharia 'is evil,'" by Kendra Marr for Politico, March 11 (thanks to Jack):

DURHAM, N.H. — Rick Santorum on Friday asserted that Sharia law has no place in America.

“Jihadism is evil and we need to say what it is,” he said at the Strafford County Lincoln-Reagan dinner, remarks that show how the former Pennsylvania senator continues to establish himself as the candidate most-aligned with the Republican Party’s conservative base.

“We need to define it and say what it is. And it is evil. Sharia law is incompatible with American jurisprudence and our Constitution.”...

Santorum added, “Sharia law is not just a religious code. It is also a governmental code. It happens to be both religious in nature an origin, but it is a civil code. And it is incompatible with the civil code of the United States.”...

Islam orders death for Muslim and possible death for non-Muslim critics of Muhammad and the Quran and even sharia itself.

Sharia law is incompatible with American jurisprudence and our Constitution.”...

An excellent book that bears this out through historical record is ...

The author, Robert Reilly, meticulously traces the process through which, starting in the 9th Century, Islam discarded the Greek notions of rationality and reason, cause and effect, effectively divorcing faith from reason. It is this process and the consequences derived from it which has placed Islam and those who adhere to it in conflict with reality, and with those who chose a different path.

In a recent EWTN interview, Reilly explained that, unlike what many in the west believe, the Koran is not like the Bible. Rather, for Muslims, the Koran is an eternal document that existed with God - essentially, it is equivalent to our view of Jesus Christ - and that is why IT must be followed to the letter. Reason is not a legislator; hence there are no "legislatures" in Muslim countries. Honor killings follow Muslim morality, which has dropped reason.

Reilly summed up by saying that there is no word for conscience in Arabic. Islam is ideology masquerading as a religion.

Look - he's not condemning all people who happen to be Muslim - he's condemning Sharia. Santorum is 100% right on this - it's an evil system.

All we'd have to do to get crazy liberals on board about the evil in Sharia would be to tell them some fundamentalist Christian Church had come up with ________ (fill in the blank with a Sharia concept) and they would be so quick to condemn - - we'd all be spinning.

Liberals are intellectually lazy - they condemn based on 'who believes' rather than on the beliefs themselves. The fun of the above exercise would be they'd once again look like fools... but they probably wouldn't see that either - after all in their little minds, liberals can do no wrong. ( I have Muslim friends...)

Rep. King is making a seemingly laudable effort in exposing Islam and its ‘militant’ adherents in the US. For PC reasons, hardly any time has been spent by government in investigating the effect that Islam has had since it flooded into the country. In fact, Islam has been referred to as the Religion of Peace (ROP), less than a year after the WTC underwent a Muslim attack. Why should we investigate a peaceful movement, right? No evidence of Islam’s serenity was ever given before or after that disingenuous statement was publicly made.

Mr. King claims that any aggressive behavior of Muslims in the US is a result of Al-Qaeda’s whisperings in the many mosques that now pollute the American skyline. Is Peter King just blowing smoke because he wants to bask in the political limelight or is he really that ignorant of world history?

Where was AQ when the Christians in Asia Minor and North Africa were given the choice between slaughter and conversion?

Did Charles Martel have to fight AQ at the battle of Poitiers (732 AD), in order to save France from islamization?

Was it the fear for AQ that made the Europeans decide to go on the many Crusades?

Was AQ at the helm of the Muslim ships at the Battle of Lepanto?

Was it AQ that slaughtered more than a million Armenian Christians or was it the Turkish Muslims who were culpable?

Hey Peter, read the Koran and you’ll find no reference to AQ but you’ll discover the reason for Islam’s murderous aggressiveness – the answer will be staring you in the face.

Congressman King, if you want to arrive at the truth of what makes Islam tick, grab the bull by the horns, not the nuts.

Moderate Muslim is a shill for all of Sharia. No one who swears fidelity and obedience to Sharia Law can honesty swear allegence to the Constitutution of the USA. There is no such thing as a moderate Sharia Law, the same applies to a person(s) who accept any part of Sharia.
