Supermarket prices soar in Manhattan and across the country

What’s in your wallet?

Not much — especially after a trip to the supermarket.

At the checkout counter at the D’Agostino in Hell’s Kitchen, retired ballerina Carol Sumner shook her head over the increasingly steep price of her weekly grocery bill.

“It’s outrageous,” said Sumner, a senior citizen who was making a pit stop to buy soda, ice cream and cake for a party she was throwing.

“I feel like I am getting fleeced and taken advantage of. I don’t buy meat anymore. I can’t. It’s too expensive.”

The price index for groceries is expected to surge 3 to 4 percent nationally this year, according to the US Dept. of Agriculture.

Then use it as animal fodder. I can tell you my son is a mechanic, and has a very poor opinion of it as a fuel.

The 3-4% inflation rate in food is a pure lie.

Beat me to it. And you said it much more politely than I intended to do.

So how does that compare to the cost of regular gasoline which was well under $3/gallon at the start of this year?

Here is the best I could find explaining the impact of the new legislation. It is clear that the FDA is still developing definitions of some of the terms used in the law that was passed.

Sounds like pass the law so you can see what it really means. (Pelosi method)

When I was in junior high school over 40 years ago, IIRC one can of tuna fish was 7-1/2 ounces. My mom would make three sandwiches from one can, one for me, and one for each of my two sisters.

Yeah, a 5-ounce can doesn't go very far anymore!

“It would take me forever to eat a whole cow,”

Even with my wife and I and our seven children it will still take a while to eat the whole thing as well...but we might start another one this spring to butcher the following fall (2012) if food really starts to go up. Either the animals eat the grass or I have to mow it...I prefer not to mow.

Grass fed cows are healthier from what I have heard and the meat is leaner as well. The extra benefit is that I know what went into the animal as well.

This is just the beginning in terms of hyperinflation plunging the U.S. and world into a full blown depression. Those bankster crooks who fleeced the American tax payers out of trillions under the mask of tax-funded ‘bailouts’ are sitting pretty, for now.

Translation: MSM workers have decided that the price of French brie and Napa Valley Shiraz 2005 is too damn high.

“The three big things [causing increases] are energy prices, the growth of the Chinese and India market, and bad weather,” said economist Martin Kohli, of the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, referring to poor wheat-crop production in Russia and Australia.”

No mention of the elephant on the shelves — inflation

Glenn Beck first issued a warning on this on Fox and AntiMullah posted it back then in early November.

“Supermarket prices soar in Manhattan and across the country”

Well, yes, but according to certain fools above us, Ipads are cheaper, so we don’t have to worry...

Just “one leetle problem?”

I can’t eat my Ipad...

Not one peep form the weasel-like Upper West Side limousine liberals. When Bush was president these same hypocritical, low life, neo-Bolsheviks blamed him for everything, from gas prices to snowstorms.
