Yes. Every dollar they print makes each one in your pocket worth less, then worthless.

It always amazes me that people will rely on the very same people that put us in this mess to get us out of it...

Yes, that, and the following. ;-)
"No Way Out" of Debt Trap, Gross Says: U.S. Living Standards Doomed to Fall Yahoo/Finance ^ | 3/9/11 | Stacy Curtin
Excerpt:
There is really no way out of this trap and this conundrum at this point, says Gross. From an investment perspective his advice is to stay clear of bonds in dollar denominated terms and to be wary of higher interest rates going forward.
He took it out, so the Fed could put that and more back in. ;-)

I'm startin' to figure all the Monetization doesn't really matter any more.
The US Government is going to default. They have started down the irreversible path.
It's as certain as the day is long.

AS much as I would like to believe this. Oil is drilled and all of it is put on the GLOBAL market. The US will only drill when they can get $150 per barrel, the wells would be shut off if it goes lower. For once, I’d like to see US practice some policies that would better us and screw the rest of the world that hates us. We could drill here and keep it all to ourselves, but me landing a date with Sandra Bullock has a better probability of happening.
To: Cyclone59
Uh, better call up Sandra cause you are wrong. We don’t sell much if any of our oil on the international market as we are buying 60% or so of our oil from others.
Wrongo on the drilling also. Every rig available is punching holes in the ground right now and all wells are producing if they are financially feasable.
Over 1700 rigs drilling in the lower 48 right now.

Quantitative easing 1 and 2. Monetizing the debt. Printing money with no value to buy... stuff, primarily, I think, our own Treasury Bills.
