(AP) -- NPR president and CEO Vivian Schiller resigned Wednesday in the wake of comments by a fellow executive that angered conservatives and renewed calls to end federal funding for public broadcasting.
The chairman of NPR's board of directors announced that he has accepted Schiller's resignation, effective immediately.
NPR media correspondent David Folkenflik said in a tweet that Schiller was forced out by the board.
On Tuesday, conservative activist James O'Keefe posted a hidden-camera video in which NPR executive Ron Schiller bashed the tea party movement as "racist" and "xenophobic" and said NPR would be better off without federal funding. Ron Schiller is not related to Vivian Schiller.

Ron and Viv was just doing what is considered “politically correct.” LOL.
NPR is the same sort of news organization that would do the same thing and call it News, fact finding, investigative reporting. But the media will circle the wagons around NPR and say those people were out of line trying to trap NPR.
Might also have something to do with her embarrassing appearance in front of the Press Club this week.

Yeah, it's only OK when lib outlets like 60 Minutes, Dateline, and 20/20 do hidden camera undercover investigations and then win major awards and lavish praise for their exposes.
Juan has been vindicated again. Bet he’s way happier at fox. Those intellectuals(cough) are a grim bunch to be around. Seems like they are always mad, gripping and grumping. The only time they are happy is when they are cutting somebody else down. Hmmmmm, sounds very much like an inferiority complex to me.

Fox did not give this glib lib a million buck$ a year contract to spread conservative truths on its network. He's there to spout socialist and leftist cultural propaganda so that Fox looks "fair and balanced".
Plus, one could say about Williams what Joe Biden said when explaining Obama......"he's articulate, bright, clean and a good-lookin' guy".
But, he's still an enemy of the Republic, cuddly as he is.

Betsy Liley was placed on administrative leave while NPR investigates (but the way heads are rolling, she may be out the door before I post this).

She was not guilty by association, she was guilty for actual slurs and comments unbecoming an NPR manager . Her head must also roll.
There were trwo Schiller’s, a Ron and a Vivian and they are both out.
