Maybe it is just me, but if I were the homeowner, I would have hollered through the bathroom door that he had two choices and 30 seconds to make them:
- Come out of the bathroom door with his backside facing out and his hands on his head.
- Climb out the bathroom window butt naked and run for his life.
I would also suggest he take the second choice because my trigger finger was shaking and I wasn't sure I could control it.

I would have loved to see the prankster come out of the bathroom with the cops there. Depends on OR law though. This might not be a crime in Oregon if the door was left open.

Personal true story.
My cousin's family owned a small grocery store WAY "out in the sticks". A couple of their kids were electronic whizes and they set up a "silent alarm" system which would sound at their home (which was about half a mile away), including an intercom.
The alarm went off one night, and they were listening in on the intercom to a couple of burglars who had just broken in.
Father of family calls up a few neighbors, and they, he, and the rest of the family loaded up their firearms (Father was ex-marine, ALL the family, including daughter and mom, were "shooters") and head down to the store.
The BURGLARS looked out the window at all that firepower, and THEY called the Sheriff to come and arrest them.

Somehow I don’t think this story will he heavily covered on the CNN tv side, MSNBC, ABC or in the NY Times. After all, the possibility of an armed citizen actually DETERRING a criminal??!! Can’t have THAT getting out to the little people, now CAN we!

Chapek locked himself in the bathroom and made an emergency call, police said. He said he had broken into the house, the owner had come home, and that he was concerned the owner might have a gun. ROFL!! Dang blue states crack me up.
