CLEVELAND, Texas – Four more Cleveland ISD students were arrested Friday in connection with the alleged gang rape of an 11-year-old middle school student, district officials said.
The four new suspects bring the total number of arrests in the case to 15.
A district spokesperson said the students will face charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child, a first-degree felony.
Their names have not been released, because Cleveland police said the suspects are minors.
Investigators say the incident occurred over the Thanksgiving holiday in an abandoned mobile home in Cleveland.
The girl reported the alleged assault to her principal’s office in early December. She told school officials she was raped by as many as 20 men and boys.
Texas Rangers and Cleveland police searched a mobile home near the corner of Ross and 2nd Street after the report was made, and officers also processed a second, unnamed scene for evidence.
Investigators confiscated some cell phones, but they would not confirm or deny if there were video recordings made of the assault that were shown around the community.
The suspects previously arrested in the case are: Jared Glenn McPherson, 18; Kelvin Rashad King, 21; Marcus Anthony Porchia, 26; Devo Shaun Green, 20; Xavier King, 17; Eric Bernard McGowan, 19; Jared Len Cruse, 18; Isaiah Rashad Ross, 21; Timothy Daray Ellis, 19; Rayford Tyrone Ellis, Jr., 19, and Jamarcus Norris Napper.

The “consent” argument is lame. As I’ve been saying. She can’t legally consent due to her age.
And secondly, the reports I’ve been reading of her “willingness” appear to be based from those accused of this rape.
I’m backing off of my previous opinions of the 11 year old. Even in spite of her Facebook posting. I’m not backing off of my previous opinions of the men and boys who raped her, though. I still believe they should be tried and convicted of rape.

This is so unfortunate. I’m living in the same neighborhood I grew up in and remember well the carefree days of summer, riding bikes all over (around age 9 - 11) the area, no cell phones, just told to be back before dark. Lovely.
Now I won’t walk UNLESS I have my aggressive dog with me — people have been mugged, homes burglarized and worse. The criminals just drive or walk into neighborhoods they previously had little access to —
I’m glad I’m old — would not want to be a parent of young kids today or be a young kid myself.

It's heartbreaking. Towards the end of the article the mother of this sixth grade child (sixth grade, for God's sake!) also says: "her daughter was threatened with beatings or death if she refused to cooperate."
Also, towards the end of the article, we learn that this is a two-parent family, that the child is in a gifted program at school, and that her two older sisters are in advanced placement classes.
Fortunately, we home school, so I have much tighter control over my children’s movements than parents of public school children.
For what it’s worth, I also refuse to put my kids in an environment where they ever come into close contact with the sort of low life critters you describe. We don’t live in the ritziest of neighborhoods, but having grown up in the big city gritty myself, I know what signs to look for when I’m house shopping.
Need I remind you that we are looking for some torture value in the gauge. How about 37 grain, multiple times, for starters.

I noticed that two of the perps had the middle name of Rashad. What a total waste of human beings the whole Lot of them are.

wrong..immoral and illegal given her age yes but its not a forced rape...its statuatory..and it could be aggravated statuatory if there is such a thing given her quite young age...hopefully
as i grew up 45 years ago i saw a little bit of maybe 12 year olds having sex....but if so it was with a 13-14 year old boy......very rare
most sex in 70s started 14-17....girls first usually
dont know about today.....but kids seem very sexed up....especially in black community...and girls across the board are often encouraged to act slutty
