Two US soldiers have been killed in a shooting at Frankfurt airport, Sky sources have said.
Two other people are said to have been injured in the incident and police have reportedly arrested a 21-year-old suspect from Kosovo.
The shots were fired on or near a bus carrying soldiers, according to reports.

I was running errands today when I heard this news. I kid you not, I pulled over to the side of the road and said a little prayer for those poor soldiers. How long before the big-eared one comes out and tells us not to jump to conclusions?

I’m absolutely and totally for closing down our bases all over the world. We should turn a new page and that means starting to take care of the USA first. If Germany and others wish to start paying for our defense and mission (whatever that is?)then we might reconsider but only if they pay for our services.

At some point we have to make this clear and come to grips with the reality that the other party has a say and just because we are a secular society, because we don't want to see an ideological conflict doesn't mean that the other guy sees it this way. For the Islamist they are in the midst of a crusade and while our media made a huge deal out of a Bush statement where he used the term “crusade” it is in reality the Muslim world oppressing other faiths in near every Muslim nation. It is they who see this as a religious war and have as a goal a socio a religious objective they want to achieve through force. It is they that are expansionist and in the meantime in the West you have a near unimaginable urge to self censor what is happening to Copitic Christians in Egypt, what the so called civil war in Sudan is really about..........
The US is in the eye's of the Islamist target number 1. That simple. The US, true or not, is perceived as the cultural, religious (even more than the Vatican!), military, political and economic center of gravity for the West, Christian world and this world order with it's globalization. Even if you ask some Philippine Islamist Abu Sayyef terrorist, they would love to hit the US. If you took a Philippine, Egyptian, Lebanese, Iranian terrorist and you had a room with an American, Chinese, German, Brazilian and South African in it, any of these terrorists would want to take out the American first. Not that they like the others, but they will simply exterminate them later.
The US is in reality the leader of the pact even if under Obama you have a near abdication of this role. By default, because of our economic, political and military might we lead the West/Industrialized world and may it be the drug cartels in South America, the rouge nation like Iran, Libya, Cuba, Venezuela or N. Korea, the pirate off the coast of Somalia or the Islamist we are in the cross hairs because of our symbolic significance, leadership role and active participation in dealing with these issues. Others like the Germans are still loathed and viewed as scum by the Islamist, but they are simply a lower tier target. Obama isn't going to change this with a pretty speech and ignoring the threat doesn't make one safer either.

You can mix Buddhist, Hindu, Christians and Jews and not have any issues. As soon as you mix Muslims with any, things go “boom.”
Hindu and Muslim as in India? boom
Jew and Muslim as in Israel? boom
Christian and Muslim as in Europe, the US......? boom
Buddhist and Muslim as in Thailand? boom
No one wants to talk about it because when you single people out based on religion, race, sex, sexual orientation or national origin in America on any topic things become super “sensitive” and stupid. As in, even if the truth is glaring in ones face one is compelled to look they other way and talk about strength in diversity or some other cliche garbage. Reality is most terrorist attacks, aircraft hijackings, ship hijackings, even most of the worlds wars are essentially originating around what our media quickly proclaimed as the “Religion of peace” after 9-11.
They did catch a many (near all) of them, but most if not all have been let go.

Kosovo didn’t become an ‘independent’ state until the Bush administration. And it was his administration that was one of the first to official recognize the state.

I could not agree more with your statements this AM. This is Heartbreaking for our Military and America's people, who have helped these people and nations of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Afghanistan, and other arab nations to have a glimpse of a better life. Though this perp was not from either Iraq or Afghanistan, the perp was a moslem (confirmed). Why is islam called, by many, a religion of peace? I do not think any religion which decides, one must believe islam's way or else is peaceful, yet so many keep believing islam is peaceful, when (through actions) islam has proved itself to be hateful, vile, and wicked.
