She’ll make you wait
“I am a queen, and I demand to be treated like a queen,” Jackson Lee once said, and apparently she wasn’t kidding. Her employees describe waiting for their boss for hours on end, sometimes late into the night, while she attends events or even sits in her office watching TV.
“You worked really, really, really late for her. When she was in town, you were in the office. So that meant, two, three, four o’clock in the morning – we were there,” one former staffer said.
“She liked to hold her staff meetings — she would individually pull in the deputy chief of staff, myself and some other people individually to go over different parts of her day. But she would literally wait until super late at night. None of us could go home, because she wouldn’t tell when she was coming back or if she wasn’t. And if she called and you didn’t answer, it was like World War III,” the source said.
Jackson Lee’s designated driver picks her up at her apartment one block from her office each morning and waits for her outside wherever she goes throughout the days and nights.

Thank you for your post. I have not met royalty in person, but I am confident that you are correct. The image of royalty as cruel tyrants is invented by populists and socialists, and cultivated at least since the French Revolution. I would be very surprised if there were more cruelty among monarchs than among “workers” or “peasants.”

Please don’t associate all Houstonians with this embarrassment of an individual - she once said she came to this country as a slave, in chains.
Texas currently has 32 Congressional Districts, 5 of which are in and around Houston, so she doesn’t represent most of us, but we all get associated with her.
Her seat was formerly held by Barbara Jordan - WHAT A DIFFERENCE!
The Tea Party has setup an office in her District - hopefully we can find someone who can beat her. The problem will be that she won’t then be able to get a job anywhere else, so we taxpayers will still have to support her ignorance.

Queen Sheila is a racist socialist, kept in office by her carefully gerrymandered district. It was drawn on racial lines for Barbara Jordan (no comparison to Sheila) and has kept her in office for years. No white candidate has a chance.
She has the highest staff turnover of any congresscritter because of her unreasonable demands.
She’s a loud mouthed, obnoxious buffoon and a disgrace to the city.
Worse, she’s MY congresscritter. There’s no point in writing or calling her, so I never waste time on it.
We have a local radio guy who lampoons her almost daily. Michael Berry, 740 KTRH, 5-8 PM. He’s hilarious, and once he gets hold of one of her oafish statements, hammers her mercilessly.
Mrs Wbill teaches a class for daycare teachers. It's a co-op, and one of the requirements is that they track their time on a time sheet, and turn it in at the end of the semester.
You'd be astonished at the number of people who can't tell time.
What I see the most is that 8am to 12 noon is counted as 5 hours. I know how it happens (count on your fingers, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12), but it's still shocking, to me at least that TEACHERS can't perform so basic a function.
Don't get me started on their math skills.

Individual Congress members shouldn’t have a staff. There should be a small pool of secretaries that do some typing for them.
Really, they should all telecommute from their home districts and not have staff at all. If they want, they can have unpaid volunteers.
When I worked for one of the Big Three Auto makers I heard many conversations of the black workers and most of the words spoken were:”N” “F” “MF” No wonder old Sheila thinks it’s normal to blubber all of these vulgarities around at her employees?
And I’m not sure which is the worse.
The opportunist will sometimes make the right decision out of pure self-interest. Consider how good the Bill Clinton Presidency looks today compared to Obama's.

For all of her self-importance, it seems clear that Sheila is a colossal joke to everyone on Capitol Hill and outside of it. I know I usually laugh when she speaks on television.

It’s a fat and lazy thing.
No, I don't. And she's not the only one. Most of Congress has no knowledge of science, economics, business, agriculture, the Constitution or anything else that comes before them. They are completely at the mercy of their anonymous staffs and unknown outside lobbyists and cocktail party peer pressure when formulating their positions on issues. Lee's just one of the most visible because she doesn't know how ignorant she is and, so, doesn't know when to keep her trap shut.
All pride - No shame.
