State Rep. Mark Hatfield, R-Waycross, just handed me a copy of his new bill, HB 401, which would require President Barack Obama to provide certified proof of his birth to the Georgia secretary of state in order to appear on next year’s presidential primary and general election ballots.
The bill has the signatures of 94 members of the 180-member House, including that of one Democrat, Glenn Baker of Jonesboro.
The measure will get its first hearing on Wednesday. Read the bill here.
If you’re a member of the Georgia Ports Authority or Georgia Chamber of Commerce, still attempting to persuade the White House to add a few zeros to that appropriation for the dredging of the Port of Savannah, this is your cue to cut loose an animal howl of frustration.
At minimum, the bill will make for some interesting chatter when the national press comes down to hear Newt Gingrich’s announcement that he’s exploring a GOP run for president.
Hatfield attempted similar legislation last year. From my AJC colleague April Hunt:
“I think the issue with our sitting president has been left unresolved for a significant length of time that people have concerns,” Hatfield said. “But this is not just about our current president. It’s about enforcing the constitutional provisions for anyone who seeks the office of presidency.”
Hatfield’s bill would require certified copies of “the candidate’s first original long-form birth certificate.” Documentation as provided by Hawaii, which has insisted time and time again that Obama was born there, “would not suffice,” Hatfield said.....

Do you really oppose this effort by state legislatures to require proof of citizenship (long form) in order to get on the ballot?
If we had these laws, it would endager Obama’s chances for re-election. Probably cut him off at the knees.

Peregrine Obama does not qualify for citizenship under the 14th Amendment and he does not qualify based on the Supreme Court ruling in Wong Kim Ark.
The Supreme Court told us in 1973 “a President must not only be a citizen he must also be a natural born Citizen.”
The Supreme Court has told us a natural born Citizen is born to citizen parents.

Just ONE state. All we need is just ONE state to make this a law. The entire house of cards comes crumbling down. Either he drops out, or presents his birth certificate which discloses whatever facts he’s been wanting to hide.
Whenever there is an adoption, the original long form BC is voided to terminate the parental rights of the persons listed as parents on the original document. The document is nullified and sealed so that it can never be used in another legal proceeding. Otherwise, a parent listed on the original document might show up, obtain a certified copy of it and claim parental rights.
After the original is nullified, a new BC is created and it is the only valid document available to be used in a legal proceeding.
In Obama’s case, the Soetoro adoption BC was voided after Obama Sr. successfully contested the Soetoro adoption. The Obama COLB, without hospital info, was created after Soetoro’s parental rights were terminated and Obama Sr. was named the paternal parent. The Obama COLB is the only valid document BHO can present as proof of his birth. The original document has been voided.
If the GA law holds, Obama will have to show documentation other than his original long form BC; such as his passport file, application for social security, college records, etc.
You really are pushing the envelope on finding why the documents are not shown to comply with the new state laws, if enacted.

If anybody needs or wants to see any of those documents in advance of the 2012 election season, a congressional subpoena for them could have been/can be issued by any Republican Chair of a House of Representatives committee from January 3, 2011 onward.

This is about the 12th or 13th state to initiate a bill like this. I wish one of them would finally pass one.
I saw that story. Either that, or some OBot is attempting to mitigate the damage for Obama by deleting the Conn SS number from the database. So to keep the public in the dark about who was initially issued the SSN.

So was Obama adopted in Hawaii or Indonesia? What is the court case mumber? What court and date did Obama naturalize in the US in? What’s that court case number? Why if Obama is naturalized is he using a SS that has not been issued?
