Wait, I thought the adminstration wasn't going to inject itself into a state fight.
You know, like they did from the very beginning.
But not any more.
Unless they do.

they're asking them to give up their uniquely American rights as workers.Yeah, they're unique alright. Got the taxpayer by the throat. Since when is one sided bargaining a 'right'..?

"All they're really asking for is the opportunity to sit down at the table, like grown-ups, and to work together to solve problems," she said of protesters in Madison. Fine. Then fire the 14 RAT Senators who fled to Illinois and pick 14 protestors to replace them and sit down at the table.

"...they're asking them to give up their uniquely American rights as workers."If only there was such zeal to enforce actual Rights enumerated in the Constitution, such as:

What about the rights of the taxpayers that are paying the wages of these bloated unions? I suppose that the commies in Washington don’t give a fat rat’s backside about them.

Under Gov. Walkers plan WI state workers can still collectively bargain for pay and working conditions — just not pensions which endebt the state for 30+ years and are not economically viable for the taxpayer. The Labor Secretary is either grossly uninformed or a typical parasite socialist. Or perhaps both.

How does that old adage go ? "Your rights end where my nose begins." I'd say my wallet is well within the sphere of rights my nose maintains. Get your hands out of my pocket, labor secretary.

Unlike the Democrats who are asking the voters to give up their rights.
To: Sub-Driver
They have every "right" to ask for outlandish benefits and pay, the state reserves the right to say "no".
These people actually believe they should get everything they ask for...unbelievable.
To: Sub-Driver
No, asking the GOVERNMENT workers to give up some of their spoiled brat benefits! THey are not a right! What a bunch of BS and I am tired of being ripped off by theses demon possessed spoiled brats. And what’s more, let’s do away with the income tax while we are at it and the home and car tax! It is criminal to have to pay part of our salary to government and pay the government to own a home or they will confiscate it and sell it! How dare they! I am ready for whatever it takes to regain our prosperity and freedom and put evil back in it’s place. And those idiot dupes on the left can get a regular job and quite bitching! THank you!

>> Title: Labor secretary: GOP governors asking workers to give up their rights
Hardly a mention of the word “union”.
As a non-union, working US Citizen, I’d like to know what special rights are granted to the union folks that are not granted to the rest of the citizens?

All they're really asking for is the opportunity to sit down at the table, like grown-ups, and to work together to solve problems,From their behavior over the past week they have demonstrated that they lack the capability of acting like grown ups. When my girls were two they knew better than this bunch.

I think EVERY State in the Union should put forth a State Constitutional Amendment to remove Unions from ANY Taxpayer-funded employment, and become a Right to Work State, also.
In the end, this corruption must be stopped now, and Americans are FINALLY starting to realize what this Progressive/Socialist scheme is all about.....Power gained through taxpayer forced funding of Politicians' campaigns.
Maybe the funneling of the TARP and Porkulus funds to Unions should be trumpeted more vociferously at this time, and let's get the WHOLE story out.
If you wanna run for political office in the future, you should be forced to fund your OWN campaign, or have a pool of funds made EQUALLY AVAILABLE TO ALL CANDIDATES who gain a certain percentage of the vote in an OPEN PRIMARY for all Parties at one time?
