DORMONT, Pa. -- Two Mexican immigrants are in custody after police said they found the couple's 2-year-old son alone in their Dormont apartment.
Police have charged Raul Cruz-Romero, 24, and Yolando Pablo-Segundo, 19, with endangering the welfare of a child.
The child was found Sunday at about 8 a.m. after neighbors reported the boy's constant crying, police said.
"We found a 2-year-old Hispanic male child inside the apartment shaking, sobbing and crying hysterically," said Sgt. James Burke.
Burke said a rescue crew entered the second-story apartment through a window because the front door was locked. He said the place was a mess, and it was cold.
Using an interpreter, the couple said they left the boy with a woman when they went to work at about 4 a.m. Sunday for jobs as custodians, police said. The parents contacted police when they came home at 9:30 a.m. Sunday and couldn't find their son.

Oh, they’re illegal.
That means they’ll get off scott free.
And they’ll probably get more welfare $$ and free medical aid for the child.
We are so stupid we could be.....democrats.
They just needed an anchor baby. Send all three of them to Mexico ASAP. It’s getting far too expensive to try them and incarcerate them.

Well, if the restaurant knowingly hires illegals, they should be prosecuted.
