well, well.
I spent November ‘09 wandering around Texas and loved every minute.
When you get a chance, go to Goliad and then to the battlefield at Houston.
You can feel the presence of those who rebelled against the tyrant and created a new Republic. Texas is a better model for the new America than the original in many ways.

I moved to Texas from upstate NY last week.I have friends in Brockport, beautiful area, they grow more foods than people know, but I guess the Liberal Madness got to you. I don't blame you, NY is a dysfunctional mess and Up-State gets treated like the ugly step sister. Good Luck in the Republic of Texas.

Welcome fellow Texan and FRiend.
Some of my ancestors were born in Texas during the Republic, but.
“Texas is not where you were born, but a State of Mind, Heart and Attitude.”
Goes something like this:
“Leave us alone to live our lives in peace and we will get along fine, if that is not statisfactory, we will deal with it.”
