Mika Brzezinski learned a life lesson this morning: look before you leap to defend liberals . . .
At the top of Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough referenced the hateful emails he and Mika had received from the left and the similarly ugly signs held by Wisconsin union protesters. Mika reflexively defended the vileness, saying that people were "hurting and really don't feel like they're being heard."
Aww. But later, the show rolled video of some of the Wisconsin signs, including one with crosshairs on Gov. Walker, another calling him Hitler, one accusing him of rape, and of course that great old standard "death to tyrants."
To her credit, Mika, admitting she hadn't seen the signs, did change her tune. View video after the jump.

Best wishes to you in your new home!
She'd still defend the protest, saying, as she did, that there were also good signs.
Finally, I don't even buy she didn't see the signs with the crosshairs and with Hitler references. She's a newsie. They see these things. If I see them, and I'm only a news junkie, she would definitely see them.
She's still a vile little ferret-faced weasel.
Many thanks to all for their Texas good wishes. I can honestly say I have been overwhelmed but how friendly and helpful people have been here.
Where ‘bouts you settle? I’m East of Houston.
I notices in the Morning Joe discussions on Wisconsin this morning they didn’t bring up the phoney Doctor notes once.
I escaped Jersey for Texas in 2006. Best thing I ever done, besides marrying my girlfriend and having two great kids.
Welcome fellow Texan and FRiend.
Some of my ancestors were born in Texas during the Republic, but.
“Texas is not where you were born, but a State of Mind, Heart and Attitude.”
Goes something like this:
“Leave us alone to live our lives in peace and we will get along fine, if that is not statisfactory, we will deal with it.”
Oh really?!?
I didn’t know that. Thanks for the info!
The major thing wrong with upstate New York is that it is part of New York.
Take away the “progressive politics”, the crushing tax burden, the nanny state laws dictating your every move, then outlaw unions and the democrat party and it becomes livable again.
Oh - while we’re fixing things and eliminating harmful parasites, I’d get rid of the deer tick too.
I don’t know how she contributes to that program. All she ever does is make faces, gestures, turns her head this way and that and shifts in her chair. What is her purpose on that show anyway????? She does nothing...always looks confused and to me is there for no reason. She showed her ignorance this morning. Even the guys were disgusted at the signs. Eventually the blame for everything comes back on President Bush or Sarah Palin and then Hitler’s name is invoked and then all the other nasty things these minds can think up. The Tea Party did NOT do signs like that. They can say what they want but the Tea Party was respectful and factual. They were there to love and support our country...not tear it down or ask for handouts.
Best wishes to you on your move to Texas. Texans are great people.
Keep an eye out for the wonderful metamorphosis that occurs with young ladies arriving in Texas from liberal hellholes.
1. They start out by snarling at gentlemen that open doors for them: "I can do that by MYSELF!!!"
2. They are baffled and upset when they see that Texas women put on makeup before leaving the house, even for short trips to the supermarket.
3. The tide starts to turn when they go out on dates, and their male guests insist on picking up the tab.
4. Their eyes open up to how much better life is when the government's not controlling your daily life (unless you're living in Austin).
5. Within six months, they're on the righteous path towards becoming a naturalized Texan, i.e. marriage, parenthood, and extolling the virtues of the spread offense and cover-two defense.
Welcome to Texas, the last bastion of freedom in the United States!
Does anyone have any idea what union members pay for dues? I assume all unions are different but I’m curious. My husband paid $1.00 per month for Teamsters dues in the ‘50’s and ‘60’s and I’m sure they aren’t that low anymore.
Why on earth would any government consent to being the middle man in collecting union dues to pass on to the unions? It would be great to see how many would be willing to write their own checks for their dues....no wonder the unions are nervous nationwide. Not nervous enough in my book.
We lived in Texas for two years. I didn’t like the heat and humidity but...we were young and didn’t have much and so we didn’t have air conditioning. We STILL liked the people there better than any other place we have lived. They were nice to us, kind to us and were always friendly. Doesn’t matter who says what about the heat in Texaas or anything else...you will like living there and the people all seem to be TOGETHER. They love their country, they respect law and order and have a true pioneer spirit. Be happy in the lone star state and... “Don’t mess with Texas!” Love that sign and bought one. :) :) Good luck.
I am glad Joe finally stood up for the right..I am so happy I don’t have to watch these shows!
Thanks for keeping up for us, governs.
AMEN!!
Congratulations, you can enjoy:
1.A warmer climate.
2.Less socialism, lower taxes.
3.Getting your butt beat by OU in college football. ;)
