Thats only $3 a pound, Guess that other $9 a pound they add at the store is due to evil capitalists.
If this is the result of Global Warming, let’s all exhale!!
Lobster will be cheaper than steak this year.
I'll pass, thanks.
... it's ...
... global warming causing cooler, calmer waters leading to a plague of loberst critters.
We're all gonna die.
I bet Moochelle is lickin’ her chops over this!
Ah, ya beat me to it.
I too am not a lobster fan. I mean I don’t hate them. A well cooked lobster served with pure melted butter is quite Ok and certainly not anything to be puked upon
However, I don’t get the huge fuss about it. It is not like a nice cut of beef, or a cornish hen or a berkshire pork or a nice Aussie lamb chop or even a nice steak of tuna.
It is just OK. Quite unlike the hype it generates.
“Lobster will be cheaper than steak this year.”
Yeah, in Maine, not here
When the Pilgrims came, the Indians would use lobster only to bait their cod-fishing hooks, or in dire emergencies when people were starving.
It'll be a tossup as to which is cheaper this spring.
I lived on Cape Cod one summer when there was a glut. We bought the smallest (and tastiest) ones super fresh for two bucks a pound on the docks. It cost us hardly any more than a meal at McDonalds. Actually got sick of it and didn’t touch lobster for a good three or four years after that.
I think this boom has nothing to do with global warming as the shriekers would have you believe. Instead, it is a delayed effect of the collapse of the cod fishery. Cod eat trillions of young lobster every year, or used to until they were overfished to commercial extinction. As the fishery recovers, which it will, the lobster harvest will fall precipitously, and the global warmers will shriek even louder. Mark my words.
And to think they were plowing them into the ground as fertilizer back in the 1800’s
I’ve always been partial to seafood, so this is good news.
Ahh.. the famous Bar Harbor Headstanding lobster family. They will be here all week folks.

Yeah, in Maine, not here
Most lobsters end up being brokered and processed in Canada.
We raised the fuel tax so high it’s much cheaper to buy fuel in Canada,so they drop their load while there.
Our new Gov is workin’ on it.
