Behind closed doors, Scott Walker, the Republican who has been governor for about six weeks, calmly described his intent to forge ahead with the plans that had set off the uprising: He wants to require public workers to pay more for their health insurance and pensions, effectively cutting the take-home pay of many by around 7 percent.
...
Scott Fitzgerald, the Republican leader in the State Senate, slipped out of the Capitol Wednesday morning with his sunglasses on, head down. Protesters had gone to his home earlier in the week, forcing his family (including his wife, a school guidance counselor) to go elsewhere for a bit.

It also forces the union members to notice the money they are sending to the union each month, rather that have it just show up as yet another of a dozen deductions. Need to do the same with payroll deduction of taxes.

On Tuesday 4,000 of us Illinois homeschoolers went to the Capitol in Springfield to voice our opposition to SB136 (a measure to register us for further government control/monitoring). There are videos on the net now showing our good behavior, singing patriotic songs in the building, etc.
The contrast between conservatives and these thugs could hardly be more apparent. May the GOP be stalward and courageous in taking down the unions. They are economic monopolies that are perfectly hypocritical at heart.

Even if her estimate is accurate, she is talking about option B. Under option A they would both potentially go to an income of $0 when they are laid off/fired. Take your pick you brainless morons.

Kudos for the tip and email address. Have given Gov. Walker our support, copied Rush Limbaugh and John Boehner. Being a Floridian where our Gov. Scott is taking a machete to unions and the state budget, we are particularly in tune.
Down with the pathetic PC parasites!

“...Why have we become so passive at a time when we need to do the opposite?...”
Why,you ask?
Two Words: “Conflict Resolution”.
A couple decades’ worth of brainwashing one group of Americans into becoming guilt-ridden wreckage terrified of being called “racist”, and a couple decades of radicalizing every minority with a grudge, greivance and a cause, and you have the seeds of one hell of a mess brewing.
And all stoked by deliberate design.
That’s why.
If this country is to survive, we better get our sh*t together REAL fast.

I think I'm going to book a trip to Wisconsin Dells to show my "solidarity" with the Governor.
I'm proud my best friend goes to Marquette and is conservative, gives me an excuse to go up to Milwaukee. And Milwaukee has Miller Park and the Miller Factory. If you guys haven't gone up there I recommend the tour of the brewery it is phenomenal beer. From Orland Park I can get to Milwaukee between 1 1/2 hour to 2 hours I'm heading up to pick up my buddy in a few weeks I'll make sure I spend money there and reload on gas in Kenosha.
To hell with spending money in Crook County have you guys seen how F'ing bad the gas prices are compared to Will or DuPage? I was in Naperville last night it was insanely cheaper than Orland...

I have said for some time that the major upcoming fault line in this country will be between those with government jobs who expect the private sector to keep paying for the gravy train and those in the private sector who have no gravy left to spare.

tHAT SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT. tHINK ABOUT IT. tHEY ARE BOTH 15 - 20 YEAR VETERANS WITH SALARIES OF 85k A YEAR OR 170k FOR BOTH 7% IS 11,900 YEAR OR AROUND $1,000.
It's a 7% cut and she says it'll cost her about $1,200 per month. That comes out to just over $17,000 a month in salaries. That seems like a bit much to me for a music teacher and whatever he teaches. I want everyone to make a lot of money, but not while they're on the public teet.

"...A lot of nearby schools closed today due to a lack of teachers. Their squeals are now echoing across Wisconsin. If you or I called into work and said we're taking a few days off because we're ticked off at our boss's new policies, we'd be shown the door. And rightly so.
Every one of these people should be given a pink slip. Plenty of people who appreciate a job, especially in this economy. They won't be hard to replace.

It’s not that unions lost sight of anything years ago; unions, the Communist Party USA and the democrat party all came together in the 20s and 30s for mutual benefit. Many of the union workers had no idea what the connections were, they just followed blindly in a lot of cases. Unions and both of their tri-partite partners have always had the goal of gaining ultimate power over the country and that coalition survives into the present.

Those idiots have no clue what they are protesting against. Somebody should pull them aside and tell them how much money they will be paying over the course of their lifetime for their freeloading teachers to live off a fat and “free” retirement.
