Thre Cruise Diary

DEAR DIARY - DAY 1

All packed for the cruise ship -- all my nicest dresses, swimsuits, short sets. Really, really exciting. Our local Red Hat chapter - The Late Bloomers decided on this "all-girls" trip. It will be my first one, - and I can't wait!

--------------------------------------------------------------

DEAR DIARY - DAY 2

Entire day at sea, beautiful. Saw whales and dolphins. Met the Captain today -- seems like a very nice man.

--------------------------------------------------------------

DEAR DIARY - DAY 3

At the pool today. Did some shuffleboard, hit golf balls off the deck.. Captain invited me to join him at his table for dinner. Felt honored and had a wonderful time. He is very attractive and attentive.

----------------------------------------------------------

DEAR DIARY - DAY 4

Won $800.00 in the ship's casino. Captain asked me to have dinner with him in his own cabin. Had a scrumptious meal complete with caviar and champagne. He asked me to stay the night, but I declined. Told him I could not be unfaithful to my husband. --------------------------------------------------------------

DEAR DIARY - DAY 5

Pool again today. Got sunburned, and I went inside to drink at piano-bar, stayed there for rest of day. Captain saw me, bought me several large drinks. Really is quite charming. Again asked me to visit his cabin for the night. Again I declined. He told me, if I did not let him have his way with me, he would sink the ship.... I was shocked.

--------------------------------------------------------------

DEAR DIARY - DAY 6

Today I saved 2600 lives. Twice.

HBO Documentary - The Battle for Marjah Thursday Feb 17th

In February 2010, US Marines launched Afghanistan: Operation Moshtarak, the biggest operation since the start of the Afghanistan war, whose main target was the Taliban stronghold of Marjah, a town in Helmand province. Journalist Ben Anderson, who spent two months with the American forces, offers an extraordinarily intimate look at the brutal realities of modern-day warfare in the harrowing documentary The Battle for Marjah, debuting Thursday, Feb. 17 (9:00-10:30 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO, marking the first anniversary of this historic battle.

Good evening, Taz...(HUGS))...it was a little bit still light as I drove home tonight, directly into an almost full moon rising up over the mountain tops. Saw a moose way out into the landscape....a good place for it.

How is your recovery coming along? Hope you are feeling much better.

Just get a big ole fan and blow the rain over my way!

The moon isn’t quite full yet, so maybe you’ll get your chance
to be in awe. :)

Aloha Teenster!

That was snatched from my e-mails.....90% of which are either political (from friends in the private sector) or risqué (from friends who have access to government computers at work). The rest are deletable.....they're solicitations for donations.

To: Bean Counter

Good evening Beancounter. I had read about the lousy percentage of 1.6% but had not yet heard about “Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD) has signaled a desire to freeze military salaries at the 2011 rate”.

How about they recieve military pay & our troops get their salaries? Sounds alot like more just pay for scope of work to me!

When one thinks about what a E-4 deployed (etc) gets for what their going through....it’a just a slap in the face!

Epic fail on behalf of our lawmakers!!!!

Weather’s getting warmer this week, but it dips a dip and the wind picks up. They say we might be seeing 50 on Friday. And I still haven’t taken half of my winter clothing out yet. Probably should get rid of some of that stuff if I’m not wearing it.
