Obama sends Congress $3.73 trillion budget

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama sent Congress a $3.73 trillion budget Monday that holds out the prospect of eventually bringing deficits under control through spending cuts and tax increases. But the fiscal blueprint largely ignores his own deficit commission's view that the nation is imperiled unless huge entitlement programs like Social Security and Medicare are slashed.

Obama called his new budget one of "tough choices and sacrifices," but most of those cuts would be held off until after the end of his first term.

Overall, Obama proposed trimming the deficits by $1.1 trillion over a decade. The administration is projecting that the deficit will hit an all-time high of $1.65 trillion this year and then drop sharply to $1.1 trillion in 2012, with an expected improvement in the economy and as reductions in Social Security withholding and business taxes expire.

We are in the midst of a national take-down and most people are far too stupid to see what Obama is doing. Our deficits are 6 times SIX TIMES the size of Bush II only 3 years ago and now, they are the norm. Mindless. Either the Republicans cut to the bone and balance the budget on the backs of the tax payers where it belongs or we are doomed as a nation. This is EXACTLY the point. Obama has made $1.6 trillion seem ordinary. It is nation crushing and they know it. Now, the new normal will be "ONLY" $800 billion in deficits. Trust me on this... get money out of dollars and off shore NOW. While you still can. When the currency collapses, it will be too late. I'm not so sure. That economy is cooling. Their exports to the U.S. have fallen. They have a new labor law that is driving up prices and importers aren't buying goods from China at a higher price. If they can't sell as much to us, I don't think they will buy as much debt.

I've even heard that they are selling rice that is mixed with plastic. China is building cities with no occupants. China is headed for tough times very soon.

$3.73 is a price Walmart uses a lot. Their consumer research has shown that .73 is as close as you can get to the next dollar before people automatically call it the next dollar.
