Jake Tapper: No one in Obama admin thinks U.S. better off after Mubarak overthrow
Friday, February 11, 2011 | Kristinn

Posted on 02/11/2011 9:47:44 AM PST by kristinn

ABC News White House correspondent Jake Tapper wrote on Twitter about 40 minutes ago that the Obama administration is basically clueless as to the ramifications to the United States of the overthrow of the Egyptian government of Hosni Mubarak.

"Also worth keeping in mind: cant find anyone in O admin who thinks whatever comes next will be better for U.S. interests than Mubarak was"

This comes after Obama campaigned for Mubarak's overthrow.

Obama knew exactly what would happen....CHAOS.

Thats what the Muslim Brotherhood needs to take power in Egypt. Obama delivered it as far as he could.

ex-CIA Agent Reveals: “Muslim Brotherhood” has infiltrated Obama Administration
http://notalemming.wordpress.com/2011/02/03/ex-cia-agent-reveals-muslim-brotherhood-has-infiltrated-obama-administration/

The prize? Control of the Suez canal and Europes Oil supply by the jihad, and a Southern invasion route into Israek via the Sinai by the jihad and Hamas.

Obama is not done yet, he will feed the chaos in any way he can.

Obama is not clueless, it’s just that doing what’s best for the United States is not high on his To Do list. It’s somewhere between wanting to show his BC and having relations with Moosechelle.

The msm is not even ashamed to do her bidding. Gets them an invite to the inner circle of radical America haters and that’s good enough for them.

Of course not Obama demands social justice and economic equity for all, Obama believes groups like Hamas and Hezbollah are nothing more then community organizing groups that bring social and economic justice to the people...

Obama and his ilk have learned nothing from 911 and are doomed to create a breeding ground for more American death and destruction.

Most incompetent administration ever.

We will be better off if we end sending the billions of taxpayers money that have been handed to Mubarak. This money can be used for cancer research, more Border Patrol agents, a border fence, better medical treatment for our veterans.

I've seen scattered posts where some have a wait and see attitude, and that things could turn out fine. That this could be a genuine beginning of a fledgling democracy.

I don't see any chance of that happening. Not with Obama dead set against democracy even in America. If it was somebody else in the White House - then maybe. But Obama is the 'tipping point'. His regime, with the CIA getting intel from CNN, and calling the "Muslim Brotherhood" a completely "secular organization".

I see an infiltration by radical elements within the Egyptian military, followed my Martial Law, followed by riots which conveniently results in many, many Christians being murdered.

That's my cynical take. I pray I'm wrong.

I agree; Egypt may have a short-term democracy, but only for show and not for long.

Does anyone remember who Abolhassan Bani-Sadr was, and what became of him?

Anyone?

Anyone?

I pretty much agree.

My position is rough. A part of me is thrilled. My first memories are from Egypt. I have some friends there, and even more friends in Jordan (which will be affected by Egypt). I’m aware of the downsides of Mubarak’s regime.

HOWEVER...

I put the U.S. first above any other country. I try to live by logic rather than emotion. As such, I cannot look at this with the joy and jubilation others are reveling in. I know what this development could mean, and I see no way that this ends well.

I am not an optimist.

But I do understand the desire to ‘wait and see.’ After all, what can a bunch of news junkies on a discussion forum REALLY do? The best answer I can give is: look what the Egyptians did with Twitter.

“We will be better off if we end sending the billions of taxpayers money that have been handed to Mubarak. This money can be used for cancer research, more Border Patrol agents, a border fence, better medical treatment for our veterans.”

The best use for this money, that we don’t have anyway, is not spending it at all.

I guess that’s all we can really do. Wait and see.

And pray!

Why would any country want to be an ally of the United States? We screwed the Vietnamese; we screwed the Iranians; we’re screwing Afghanistan; and now we’re screwing Egypt.
