Hee’s right, AIDS was allowed to happen. But not for the reasons that he stated. After all, what does gay marriage have to do with AIDS prevention?
No. AIDS was allowed to happen because it wasn’t treated like any other fatal, communicable disease. The infected were not quarantined. The truth was distorted to make the gay feel, well, gay (happy). Remember how we were told that the hetero populaation was at risk? Not so much.
Other lies were told, and even today, drug users and gays refuse to alter their behavior, and then expect to neither get the disease, or that someone will pay for their treatment.
Because they cannot blame the Gays and the African Blacks who spread the disease through their communities via promiscuity, perversion, and rape.
AIDS is easier to prevent than most diseases. It is no secret how AIDS is spread....how can it be a plague “allowed to happen”?

AIDS isn’t even in the top 10 killers in this coutry yet gets 10 times more funding that dieases that are. I was a 9yo child when diagonzied with the #5 killer in this country but few wear ribbons for us.

Yep. It is a true statement. Many thousands of people have died unnecessarily because AIDS was first made into a civil rights issue instead of a public health issue.
It is the very activists themselves that have all those deaths on their heads.
That's where the typical homo-libbie trips over logic trying to be enrage about who-knows-what. First, they try to deny that it's a predominantly homosexual disease. Then they harp on Reagan for not paying more attention to a disease which they just disclaimed.

The sad truth is that government and the PC establishment lean over backwards to support the gay lobby. As a result, they refuse to use any of the usual methods of controlling a deadly epidemic. Gay AIDS carriers, instead of being quarantined, are helped to hid the disease, and are encouraged to continue having sex.
The sad truth is that this supposedly “pro-gay” stance has been viciously destructive to homosexuals, allowing the disease to spread among them rampantly.
Ironically, and tragically, the spread of this disease benefits their cause through the appeal of public empathy, especially if homosexuals can infect normal people, not the usual at-risk population. That’s why the tremendous push by homosexual activists to drop the prohibition on blood donation for men who practice homosexuality. They WANT a widespread epidemic.

Back in the Seventies, I was coughing really hard. Eventually broke 13 ribs! The docs would just give me codeine, and send me home. The last place I went was Milwaukee General. They said, “You’ve got broken ribs.” Sent me home with codeine. Next day, they called me, and asked me to stop out. They told me you have TB, and that I wasn’t goin’ anywhere! Locked me up in a TB ward for 9 months before they figured out I ha Atypical TB, and was not contagious. Said I probably got it from gardening. I was in the habit of culling and spreading out a large patch of Lilies (tubers), but I might have gotten it from the water-based lubricant where I worked. They never added any chlorine to the lube, and people, day laborers mostly. spit in the stuff all the time. Anyway, lost almost a year of my life, and had to take meds for another year.
But AIDS? No such isolation.
